Do you rate them all?

Rating people on MyLot is the nice thing to do. I don't rate people that give rude comments. I rate new members because they're just starting out and I don't want to discourage them from writing on MyLot. But, yeah, I rate people that comment on my discussions. I don't do it all the time but for the most part I do.

I don't rate EVERY comment, but I do give a + rating to every GOOD comment I read. I haven't given any - ratings, but if I found an abusive comment, or one "putting down" another opinion, I would do so. We are all entitled to our opinions, and we can expect differences of opinions. We can even expect directly opposing opinions, but these can still be respectful and polite. I would still give a + rating to those opposing my view, as long as it is couched in respectful tones.

I pretty much do, except for discssions that have several pages of responses, then I don't rate them all. It just takes to long to go through all of them, but I do as many as I can, as we are all trying to build our ratings up in here, and I think others appreciatate it when we do rate them. I rate the responses that are makd from my discussions that I have started. I will rate anyone positive, unless they are rude or they post referral links in the discussons. I have never really had anyone be rude, so I haven't had to deal with that at least, but I have rated negative thos that put referral links in the discussions. Also, I don't rate any responses that are just few words or just one line posts. I won't give them a positive, but I won't rate them negative either. I just don't rate them at all. Done properly, the rating system works but do it wrong, and it won't. Goodluc to you and happy mylotting.
