I have my toenails cleaned and painted every two weeks but I always have the same color, tantalizing tan! I really dont like painting my nails with striking colors so i stick with neutrals to make it easier for me to find a dress to where. My fingernails however are only painted during special occasions because when I paint them all the time, they get ruined after only one or two days. I think one advantage of having your nails painted is that you won't have to worry if they are dirty especially your toe nails since you cant really hide them from people but the fingernails you may choose to hide or clean when you see some dirt.lol

yes i still have it. though its quite expensive to maintain coz you need to change it clean it every week as the nail color started to peel off. its cute to see color on your nails it makes me feel clean. though i know how to polish my nails but sometimes if im on a hurry like if i need to attend a party or meeting i just go to the beauty parlor to have it done.

I do put nail polish but only on occasions. Just like what you said, it is really a waste of money having it regularly. Since I spend most of the time inside my house, it really isn't a necessity having one. But if ever I would have it, I usually have it with design. HUGZ!

hello there! well, i do like putting colors on my nails...but not always...just occasionally brcause i don't want my nails to turn yellowish...and i just do it on my toe nails. its because my hands are busy and so it will just a waste for me to put nailpolish on the nails in my hands coz it will be just ruined when i do the households...so i just keep it clean to look nice...

i am not regular in painting mmy nails but if i paint it then i make sure that i remove the paint when it starts getting off from the sides. i don't keep it untidy. i try many shades and specially when i wear Indian outfits then i ake sure that my nails are painted with the colours matching my dress.

Nail polish? In my entire lifetime (I'm now 71) , I've applied nail polish most especially to my feet some 60 times. I usually have my feet fingernails polished after my big toe ingrowns are clipped. For me that thing belongs more to a female.

Nail Art - In medicine, there are two types of nails. One is just a plain old metal nail used to hold 2 or more pieces of bone together, for example, after a fracture. The other type of nail is the horny plate on the end of the finger or toe. Each nail anatomically has a body, lateral nail folds (on the sides), a lunula (the little moon-shaped feature at the base), and a proximal skin fold (at the base).
I like nail polish when it's black. But I don't wear it like it's forever. I was a nursing student before and I learned that we are prone to microorganism especially if nails are colored. I better have healthy nails so to protect them, whenever it's necessary for me to get my nails done, that's when I do it. What bothers me now if, are there still people who compliment clean, plain and natural nails nowadays?

i usually wear nail polish on my toes (even in the winter) because it really makes me feel better, even when its really cold out and i have to wear socks all the time.

hi xchyler. you know men don't usually put nail polish on their fingernails. but sometimes i also put on, if my wife clean my fingernails. but my wife can't leave the house for an important meeting without having new colors on her fingernails, and that includes her toenails. neil

My nails are clean. I don't fancy anything on it, even something cute or crafty. I only cut mine at home and trim it myself. Some of friends love to paint their nails and I only tag along to watch, not participate. I never think of painting mine, probably never have interest for it.

hi xchyler, well, i love colors on my nails.. i use to start polishing my nails when i was in college.. and i think it's not safe to polish them always.. so now i don't totally clean nor polish them always, maybe i can do it once a month.. i think it is much safer rather than polishing them every week.. poor nails of you, well thank you because you change it and you stop it.. janebeth.

it depends on the length of my nails. if it is longer, i go to the beauty parlor and have it cleaned and polished. i usually do it on weekends so that when i report for work on the first working day (monday), it is still very nice to look at. yes, we can do away with it especially with the global economic situation now which is affecting the lowest level of society. we need to be frugal in all our ways in these hard times.

I also have a big problem with nail polish. Whenever i apply nail polish it gets chipped out by the next day. I look at other ladys nails and they seem to maintain the nail polish for a long time and i really don't understand how.

Before, I always get my nails polished every 2 weeks. But my friend warned me that it can become an obsession and it's a waste of money. So what I did was I bought a cuticle remover and a pedicure set. I decided to clean my nails on my own so I can save money. My friend also told me that it's not necessary to polish your nails just as long you clean and brush them, it's all fine. =)

I was never used to having nail polish on my fingers. When I look at other women with nail polish, I feel that it looks good but when I apply nail polish on my own nails, I don't feel too comfortable with them. I guess it also takes some getting used to also Yes, I agree that saving on nail polish can be a means of savings on our budget too.

I use to go and get my nails done all the time. Then I had my daughter and realized that I could spend that money on diapers, or on bills instead of having pretty nails. Now me and my daughter sit down every now and then and paint our nails. I don't have to have them painted all the time, most of time it gets chipped off, or smudged since I am a stay at home mom. Every now and then it is nice to have my nails all prettied up. I do like to keep my toe nails painted though. I don't like the look of toe nails, and I much rather have them covered up.lol.

I have a bad the habit of ripping my nails off when I am upset about something, so, I really have no nails to speak of. Even when I was younger, I never really had nails to bother painting. In one way, I guess that my bad habit has helped me because I don'y have to worry about my nails dying as a result of not getting enough air from being painted, but on the other hand, mny habit makes me often feel embarrassed about the appearance of my hands.

i am used to having nail polish on my nails. i don't like it when my nails don't have color. my fingers and toes feel naked when they're not colored. haha i often color my nails, usually every week. so i'm not really wasting my money since i do it myself. but i realized that i have to stop coloring my nails for a while because my toenails are getting brittle. why is that? is it because of the constant nail polishing? could it be the nail polish remover? or the nail polish itself? i don't understand it. but i have to give my nails time to breathe for a while.
