I like hamburger because it can go in anything. Yes the same old same old gets tired, but we've tried to mix it up a bit. I do a lot of baked casseroles because they are cheap, filling and you can mix it up so much. I'm not a bit mac person, but love the potatoes. Try putting a layer of potatoes in a baking pan, layer with hamburger (raw) then a can of cream of celery (or chicken) soup, then a can of creamed corn. I splash some soy sauce on top with seasonings cover and cook. I think there is more flavor when you use raw hamburger over cooked. We also use hambuger in egg casseroles for a pick me up - especially if left over taco meat - that's nice twist. or instead of casserole form just throw it in as you're making scrambled eggs.
