Hello friends and good day to you. Hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was nice! So I'm wondering when was the last time that you got dressed up and you looked in the mirror at yourself and you really had to compliment yourself for looking so good? For me it's been a while simply because I am the type that like to dress for comfort. I can't even remember the last time I put on a pair of high heel shoes but it was probably last week sometime, even then I didn't bother to get all the way decked out. I was more like a dressy casual type look. Maybe i will put on a dress again one of these days, hee hee hee. So when was the last time you got all decked out? Let me hear about it, where did you go and what were you doing?

HGi Letran, i like your topics in the discussion. May i add you as a friend? You are a very easygoing person. I liked about the medieval era you had asked a few times ago. I think the distance of your house and your brother's house is near. But we can use sandals and t-shirt also to the shopping mal. And no makeup, though you look like just woke up.

Dear friend
I am very much fond about your topic. Yes when I used to go on duty I looked at myself at mirror and cheeked myself as I check whether I am up to date or not.I am looking smart or not. apart from this twelve year back when I went for marry I was nicely dressed and many times I saw myself on mirror. That all. Have a nice day.

No disrespect to her but I can just imagine that you must have looked very nice in your suit Raju, would love to see some pictures if you can dig up a few from somewhere. No pressure friend it was just an idea okay? Thanks for sharing, happy mylot!

The last time I dressed up was for a surprised baby shower for my friend. It was supposed to be a fairy-themed party but my "wings" ended up to a little girls' back. I couldn't get it back so I was just on my dress all night. but yeah, i think it was the last time I spent too much time in front of the mirror. I am not actually that into how I look. I am practically a homebuddy so I stay at home all the time. I dont get dressed too much because I dont know how to lol so when an occasion calls for it, it will only be then that i would exert extra effort and time in front of the mirror.

Dressing up isn't so much what makes me see the physical beauty in myself. Some days I just feel like doing the whole "sh'bang" - taking the time to blowdry and curl my hair, putting on light makeup, etc. It's less of "going out" somewhere, and more about just being creative with myself. Some mornings I love to just take my time, savor the experience and see what "beauty" I can bring out of a blow dry that either enhances the natural body of my hair, or straightens it a bit. And that curling iron, I love how it makes soft, flowing curls for me. Both "doing my hair" and putting on makeup can be a total drag some days - when I'm just not feeling it. But being in the mood to just have fun, be playful and "create beauty" always results in looking in the mirror at the end of it and knowing I look amazing. (not that I'm indicating I'm any kind of model, I just know who I am and what works for me)
As for the high heel shoes....ugh. Too many years it's been summer flip-flops and winter clogs. High heels feel so uncomfortable. Probably once a year I wear them, around the holidays. lol Then I kinda have to get fancy.
And I'll say honestly, there are days I put on no makeup at all, throw my hair up in a ponytail, put on some cute AND COMFORTABLE clothes - and still know I look great....because I'm ME. : )

I hear you msabu, I'm the same way, some days I like to really take my time and do the whole nine yards with hair, make up, the outfit and even a little dab of perfume. Only I don't like mine too strong as I don't want my scent to be offensive to anyone. You know how sometimes people can overdo it by putting on too much. I think some of us do that with the hair and make up also but at the end of the day, it comes down to whatever works best for the individual. Some days I actually enjoy wearing my make up a little bit more on the heavy side, lols.... I guess it's all a part of that girlie thing that's in me. I feel like since I'm a girl, I can do it, so hey, why not right?

When I went to my sister's wedding as a maid of honor.. YEARS ago!! I HATE dressing up. I am a comfort over fashion person and always have been. Many people love to get dressed up, but I am just not one of them. Still living my tom-boy ways I guess. Forever in Blue Jeans....

Actually my girlfriend says I look nicer than her when we take them out. But honestly I think it's her daughter who outshines both. She always looks so sweet in her pink outfits and I love her bubbly personality. She's a really great kid.

Hi there Citychic :)
Gosh the last time i put on a Dress was YEARS ago.
ever since I gained weight I have stayed away from dresses.
At a size 5-6 yeah dresses, shorts, skirts you name it. Now I'm a 14 and can't bring myself to wear a dress. When I dress up it's usually dress pants and a blouse , as far as heels, the best I can do is open toe solid high heel, there is no way my feet will tolerate heels other ways. I've been wearing sneakers for years and my feet are used to them. when I dress nice it's usually out to dinner somewhere. But it will be pants and blouse.
So I'd say I wore a dressy dress maybe 12 years ago :(

Hello
I hate to admit this but it has been too long, I always look good when I go out, but dressing up is another story, I need to do that sometimes you feel really good, the whole process is fun in itself yet I have not done this for a while one day soon I will dress up just for the heck of it.
Thank you, good question.

Dressed up? Well it's been a while. I typically dress for comfort. This reminds me of something my aunt told me though. She told me once that if you wake up and you are feeling down then you should dress up and deck yourself out...it will make you feel better. You know something? She's right.

the last time i got dressed up was probably my birthday in august. first, 4 people went driving on the coast and my mother couldnt decide where she wants to eat at. and then we walked along the shops in the coastal area, and then we drove back toward my place and finally decided to eat at Benihana. we ate a lot and then went home.

i do buy dress lately. i do buy 3 shirts each week.that is my goal i don't have much money and that is the only thing i can afford. and so i don't consider myself really fashionable even if i want to i am not good in fashion. i have bad taste in fashion and some that looks great on others just don't look great on me and so i just give up on making myself look fashionable towards others. but i always dream though i can look really fashionable and have this fashion statement for people to notice me.

Hello Citychic, dressing up round here is simply exchanging jeans or shorts for a dress and the high heels are out unless it's strictly door to door transport as the streets aren't really suitable for them, most likely one would fall down a pot hole. I would never leave the house though without making sure my hair was fine and a nice dab of perfume in place. I bought a beautiful beige shift dress in the sales the other week and had to wear it the next night when I met up with friends but it was simple enough not to stand out as dressy. Oh we went to a taverna for saganaki and salad.

Well for someone like me I have had to dress up for work for 32 years. However, now for the last year not working I have not had to dress up at all. The last time I remember having a dress on and heals was September 21, 2007 for my daughters wedding. I can't believe that was the last time. I do like to dress for comfort and after wearing heals forever, I'm happy with sandals or sneakers.
