Any fans of Caroline Myss discovered your archetypes yet?

I'm wondering if any of you "mylotters" are Caroline Myss fans and have been working with "Sacred Contracts?" There are so many layers to understanding the aspects of your soul and discovering with of the archetypes fit into our own Sacred Contract. Some of them seem to be very similar....so making it more difficult to narrow them down. On Caroline's Archetype CD's, she is talking about the artist and mentions a key phrase that has stuck with me: "you have to ask yourself - do you have the SPIRIT of an artist?" Now when I consider an energy for myself, I ask this question - do I have the spirit of (the archetype).
If there are others of you out there, I would love to start some dialogue on the energies themselves. How have you discovered which you believe yourself to have in your birth chart?

I've listened to Caroline Myss, I have one set of her CD's, don't remember the title offhand.
I'm not quite understanding what you are getting at. By Sacred Contract do you mean what we are destined to do in life? Do I have the Spirit of an artist? Yes, I also have the Spirit of a musician but being the wife, mother and grandmother seems to have taken over my life. Perhaps that is my destiny, the artist and musician have been sidelined, perhaps until my next life. Who knows? If my Spirit answers me, after I ask a question, I don't know if that is really my Spirit answering or my ego giving me what I want. How can you trust your answers?

Tcup - "Sacred Contracts" is both a book Caroline has written as well as a class she taught at her institute (CMED) for several years. The premise of a sacred contract is somewhat similar to the astrological wheel, except there are 12 "archetypes" or patterns of behavior such as mother, hero, knight, queen, lover, hedonist, servant, etc. that fill the wheel.
Our "sacred contract" is our personal twelve, those which come from our soul and hold the patterns that will teach us our life/soul lessons as well as bring out the purpose of this lifetime for us. They are also called energies - and these energies bring opportunities for us to learn about ourselves as well as provide us with what we need to bring consciousness into the world.
When Caroline was talking about the "spirit of an Artist," she was discussing the Artist archetype on the cd series. Perhaps Artist is one of your personal 12 archetypes. You could visit Caroline's website for more information: www.myss.com and www.cmed.com is the institute site.
As for knowing which is your ego and which is your spirit - that will take time to sort out for yourself. The way in which our spirit communicates with each of us is different. For some it may be a physical feeling - "gut hunch." Others have a "knowing" that they cannot describe or identify. Some of us may receive our intuition and/or spirit conversations through images or colors. This is a wonderful question you pose here - indicating you desire to speak with your spirit. When we are asking such questions, the answers are coming to us, we just must learn to understand the form of communication being sent.
A fabulous book to help you sort out the ego's behaviors is by Eckhart Tolle: "A New Earth." It focuses not only on the patterns of the ego, but also on understanding what it is to step into your "purpose."
