My Dog Had a Wet Dream!

My dog is a mix of cockier spaniel and a dachshund. She always sleeps in my bed. She snores when sleeping but often times she makes funny sounds while asleep. The sound she makes sometimes sounded like shes having a nightmare or a funny dream. One night when I was preparing my bed I saw her already asleep on my pillow. My dog has an attitude, when she closes her eyes its really hard to wake her up. So I pushed her a bit to the side and turned the lights off and went to sleep. Five minutes later she made those funny noises again, that sounded like a hiccup more than a snore, I smiled cause I thought she was having a nightmare again. A few seconds later, I noticed that something smells funny and then voila! I felt a warm liquid flowing just beside me. I struggled to get up, turned on the lights and saw my pillow and my bed wet all over. I saw my dog raising her legs and peed while sleeping deeply still making those funny noises.
Have you had had a similar experience?

ROTFLMAO!! No, my Pitbull puppies haven't had wet dreams, but I'm grateful all three allow me to sleep with them in my queen size bed! I usually go to bed before my husband, and the pups usually go with me. I get under the covers, and Hephaestus & Hera lie down right next to my leg (I'm an amputee, so yes, it's "leg" singular, haha), effectively pinning me down to the mattress -- so unless I want to sleep with my knee under my chin, I have to make sure I'm comfortable before I let THEM get comfortable for the night. (They're 11 months old now and weight in at about 45-50 lbs each.) (BTW, Hephaestus snores, too. I think it's adorable.)

Yes, beside me and my husband, we've got between 120 and 150 pounds of dogs in our bed with us. And yes, they're very well trained. As a matter of fact, all three are great big babies. They're still puppies, so they still get excited over guests. They get excited over strange and/or loud noises. We happen to be near Nellis Air Force Base, so we get a LOT of sonic booms. The puppies don't like those:).

Yeah dogs are really afraid of very loud sudden noises and thunder. My dog is even afraid of hearing fireworks. I pity your husband, I think he couldn't even hug you every night because you are pretty well guarded lol:)

Oh my god! Those are pitbulls even though they're still puppies they're still pitbulls. I can't imagine sleeping with very muscular pups beside me unless they're pretty tamed. They must really love and respect you. That's nice, very nice:)

omg, this is so funny... no i haven't had anything like that, but my cat sometimes takes my leg when he sleeps and wouldn't let me move it... he holds on to it and lets his claws out if i try to move... very sweet cat, but when my leg falls asleep and i can't do anything about it, it's rather annoying.

Haha maybe the cat was thinking that your leg was his property. Literally the cat owned you there:D. I can't imagine how many scratches you got in the morning

lol yes, at night my leg is his hugging bear :) he lets go of it by morning, but at night it is rather dificult. He doesn't do it every night, but even a couple of times per month is planty considering that he has super strong and sharp claws

So I think our cat is not that bad then. We have a very hairy cat and he sometimes comes home in the middle of the night and lies down next to your head. Few minutes later, he starts snoring. Yes, just next to your head. During the winter he will come to sleep in the front room near the fireplace, and he snores quite loud. But so far I haven't seen him showing any sign of dreaming. He is actually a very restraint cat, rarely shows what's in his mind.
So your cat cuddle your leg while sleeping! It is really sweet. But I wouldn't want it happen to me. I turn a lot when sleeping. It will be very uncomfortable not able to move because of a fluffy pet around my leg.

laugh out loud... i don't have dogs and i do have cats. when my cats -- one in particular -- start kneading the covers or whatever i'm wearing, i know they're "getting off." i just lie/sit there and watch. their eyes become dilated while they continue to pump the covers, etc. i just let them do it and when they're finished, they lick themselves in the private parts. and i always ask, "was it good for you?"

My sister's DOG always sleeps in his kennel, although some times he'll fall asleep on the bed.

Hahaha.... sorry :~D
Maybe she dreamed about walking around the park? I don't have dog, but my cousin's dog barks when she sleeps, and sometimes she will wave her short legs around. It's hard to know what happened in their dreams since they can't tell us anything when they wake up, but it is really interesting to see what dogs do while they are dreaming.
BTW, have you washed your pillow case and bed sheet?

Oh that's cool haha barking while sleeping. Yeah I had my pillows, pillow case and bed sheet cleaned in the morning. You know what's funny, my dog seems to be pretty energetic and very lively when she had woke up. That must be a really good dream:)

Hahahaha! Is it really the dog who peed in bed? haha joke :)
We did not trained our dog to sleep on our beds, but I found her sleeping position kinda weird. She lay on her back as if she's like a human sleeping. She's also dreaming, making funny noise and i even see that as if she's running because her paws (feet) are moving. :)

one of my cats sometimes sleeps all twisted. He sleeps on his back, but back legs would be turned to the right side and front to the left, so his body is twisted 180 degrees when he is sleping :)
