Kanye is an idiot

I did not watch the VMA's, but one could hardly miss what Kanye West did on the Video Music Awards. He interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance of her award, giving his own opinion on who should have won the award (Beyonce). He stole Swift's moment, but Beyonce tried her best to give it back to Ms Swift, forgoing her own acceptance speech so Taylor could shine. Anyone think what he did was ok, if so, why?

I haven't seen the footage of his actions yet, but my Wife was telling me about this when I got home from work today. Kanye West IS an idiot, no question! Even more than that, he's a wanker that pathetically needed some attention. He's most certainly entitled to his own opinions OUTSIDE of the ceremony itself, but to interrupt like he did is rude, disrespectful and totally uncalled for. He's also embarrassed Beyonce rather than compliment her in my opinion. I don't listen to that tosser's music anyway.

I'm stunned that no one has made the connection between what kanye did to Taylor Swift and what that redneck congressman did to the President. I will bet any amount thats how the media will take this next.

I just watched the video on YouTube.... What an absolutely disgusting act on his behalf. Poor Taylor Swift! Here's the one I watched if anyone else wishes to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPcAizBNs8E If the media start making comparisons, so be it! I just hope they crucify the wanker.

i agree with you that Kayne Browne did this to gain publicity at the expense of Taylor Swift. Will this affect his career negatively? some says no. it might actually help him to be popular again. as you have said that publicity is publicity no matter what kind it is. but i see or read lots of support for Taylor Swift from other celebrities voicing their support to Taylor Swift and saying angry words against Kayne West.

oh Taylor Swift was on the VIEW already. maybe what we are seeing is not live telecast or a one-day delayed telecast here in the philippines. cause the last one i seen a day ago was all news about VMC without her as guest on the show yet. My sister do watch this the VIEW every morning here local time. i think it is also shown early morning in your local time too.

She was on THE VIEW today, and she held her own very well. Answered questions from the banshees like a champ I hope he flounders in his craft for a bit, he needs to learn some humility.

I have to wonder if this guy has done anything lately besides being a loud mouthed JERK! Why is he even being invited to those award shows? Someone should have literally kicked him off the stage & all the way out of the building. I like Taylor & had I been there I'd have happily volunteered.

Hi JodiLynn, As a father with three teenage children, I am always getting updated with the different isues or news happening around the world. And I actually got shock at what Kanye West has done because it is showing disrespect to Taylor Swift, especially since it is in the middle of her acceptance speech. Kanye was taking the spotlight from the real winner and was just giving it to a runner-up when he could have done that to Beyonce in a private area rather than doing that. He is so frustrating too, because many children look up to him as a good role model, and then he did that in front of the whole world, it's so disappointing. It's just so humiliating because now I look down at him.

I think what little respect he had left from the general population went down drastically in that short 15 seconds.

I didn't watch the VMA's. However, I did see a video of this. And I have to agree with you. He is an idiot! I mean, come on, that was Taylor Swift's moment! That was just really stupid! And I'm really, really glad that people were booing him off the stage. He deserved it. This situation really shows that Beyonce is the better person between herself and Kanye West.

I looked all over the net to see who would speak out on Kanye's behalf. Sadly, I had to go to his blog to find them. I honestly think this was a publicity stunt, ala PT Barnum ("All publicity is good publicity")

He's a flippin retard. He went back stage after that screaming about the rights of the black man and all this other stuff...which had nthing to do with it. I think he should have been booted out of the building.

I would say that Kanye will have trouble making this up as far as fans go. He is an idiot who may have ended his career as far as being a fairly popular act. I believe that people will see this as egotistical and wrong.

The only place I could find with any support for him was his own web site. No one in the industry he is in will make a comment on his behalf, YET. I see this going the way of Chris Brown, Michael Vick etc... media forgive n forget.

Ya, I saw that. It was unbelievably rude. I actually thought it was a joke but didn't quite get the punch line. All I can say is that Taylor Swift did handle it with grace altho she did look a bit confused. Was it ok? Absolutely not!

She did well. She really did. I can't imagine how she felt or how Beyonce felt for that matter. The guy does not deserve the following that he has. Regardless of talent....he's a loser.

The poor kid had to PERFORM five minutes AFTER this incident, can you even imagine what was going through her head? I'd have been confused too!

no kanye is a rapper who doesn't hold back on his thoughts at the moment. it may make him look bad at times but it helps his songs.

Being a Rapper isn't an excuse for bad behavior. He had NO RIGHT, at all , to do what he did. Who cares what Kanye thinks about ANYTHING, really?

No, what he did was NOT ok! That was Taylor Swifts first VMA award, and he completely ruined it for her. I think Kanye has some mental issues. Seriously. George Bush doesn't like black people? And this isn't the only time he acted up during an award show! He's just crazy and wants attention. And the media is giving it to him by constantly putting his face up on TV. A radio station here in Florida, POWER 96, did not play ANY of Kanyes songs yesterday. And if it featured Kanye, they'd just cut his verse, lol!! He messed up bad this time!

I saw that on the news and it looked queit stupid. I wasnt really expecting that when Kanye West took the mic. If he really had to say something he could have done at some other time, its sad how he spoilt Taylor Swifts moment. Yeh it good to see Beyonce allow Taylor to come back a little later, but Kanye spoilt her moment.

If this was a publicity stunt, it would be totally unfair for Taylor Swift to be subjected to such cruelty. I'm not an avid fan of Taylor, but judging on Kanye's erratic behavior on stage, my heart goes out to her. Kanye acted soooo immaturely and he could have given his opinion at a better time and a better place. He is a bully!!! Pick on someone your own size! And go talk to the shrink! It's such a shameful way to get attention as to the fact that his so-called "music" isn't too popular now.

He is indeed immature and in dire need of therapy, sadly his momma isn't here to guide him any longer, and it shows.

I do not believe you will find anyone who will agree with Kanye's antics. It was inexcusable and his apology was a little too late. Although he was removed from the premises shortly afterwards, MTV executive, producers, should be accept some responsibility. They allow excessive drinking (there was an open bar for celebs who wished to imbide. While the set-up is normal, it is inexcusable for management to allow Kanye to take a fifth of Hennessey and openly drink it. Then, too, where was security? I ordinarily do not watch video/hiphop award shows because of the deplorable behavior that some (not all) artists exhibit. He has issues but so does everyone else. Kanye needs therapy. Good psychological help may not cure him but it may help him understand that his is not that important, special, etc. IAMSTRONG

I don not watch these award shows either, as there is usually some one who does something in bad taste (ala sasha baron). Who ALLOWED him to even GET to the stage much less jump up and snag the mic out of her hand. Does security get nullified due to celebrity?

The first thing you do as a celebrity is to accept the wins and losses because everybody is subject to them the same way. I did not know what the essence of this interruption was. I just though Mr west was out of place as he would have to be butting in on an awards ceremony. If he complained about the awards' winner or his preference he is obviously a total jerk because that's what jerks do. Plain and simple. And now the world knows it as well.

No I don't think it was right at all it was arogent and rude. He ruined Taylor Swift's special moment it was wrong to do to her and it was wrong to embarrass himself, Taylor and Beyonce. Who does he think he is anyways, interupting an award's ceromony like that. The nerve of some people. Does he really think we care about his opinion. He must have been drunk or high or something, any person with any common sense would not have done that.
@rainmark (4302)

He should'nt do that on the award ceremony, he must never interrupted somebody's speeches coz it was not his moment to talk, that show's disrespect and insult to someone. He should behave in proper manner.

i am not surprised at Kanye west behaviour because that is how award organizers do, they give awards to people who do not deserve the award, kanye west though should have allowed it to go because its just an award and i do believe beyonce did the right thing

Kanye West must be piss drunk to do that to Taylor Swift. Why is he supporting Beyonce against Ms. Swift? Has he an axe to grind? I think he must exercise decorum in public. Just because he feels like supporting someone else, does it make him to lord over someone else. Shame on him!

Yeah! that guy maybe has no sc_ot_m to hold his balls on. What a disrespectful attitude coming from a full grown man...and on a teenage girl? So immature! What an idiot moron! My advice for him, if he has a plan to go here in Philippines he should behave like a dog or else we will hand him to abusayaf..hahaha!
