Are you a picky eater?

I a and I am proud of it. Mymom said I didn't eat most of the food she served me when I was a baby and I am just as picky today. I don't eat fish. Well after eating tuna everyday for many years when I was in school I think I have had my share/ I don't eat vegetables either. In fact to most my diet is nothing but junk food. If the food experts , I call them food Nazis, are correct, I should have died 20 years ago. They keep saying breakfast is the most impotant meal of the day. Well, if I Had to at breakfast, I would be sick to my stomach every day. they say have to have 5 serving of vegetables daily, I never do. And they would just die if they saw what I eat and when. But I still rather eat what I like and when and die early than Have to eat food I don't like only to live longer. That way I would Never get to east what I really like or want. What's the point? So, are you a picky eater?

No...not at all..but you are right about how much they think you should have of everything....I'd be bloated all the time if I ate that much veggies......I eat to live......I don't live to eat....so I can eat whatever and not be fussy at all.

I don't live to eat but I won't eat anything I don't like or I don't want. I rather fast . Just wait until I can eat what I really want.

I was soo lucky. My mom never scolded me for not eating anything. I gues she knew it wouldn't have worked.I would have just stopped eating period. n fact I once went 36 hours without eating because I was so upset. The funny thing is now I don;t remember why I was so upset.

My mother would scold me if I do not want to eat food that I do not like, I do not really like vegetables that are mixed. I got sick because eat it, I'm not forced myself to not picky.

I use to be the queen of picky eating. Growing up I would always say no onjions mommy to my mom. I mean I didnt like things if they were a certain why. Over the last few years I've been cooking for myself and learning new ways to do things. I've also been working towards a more healthier lifestyle so I have taught myself slowly to love things I didnt like before because of my picky eating. I would literally not eat things for dumb reason. It wasnt always that I didnt like them sometimes I didnt like the way they looked or because they were new. Anything I wasnt used to I would never eat. I now eat all sorts of things I didnt before, this year alone I've been teaching myself to love new veggies. I've fallen in love with tomatoes, pepper, pickles, onions and mushrooms (well the jurys still out on that one) It takes time but one you realize your taste pallets are going through a change its easy to introduce new things.

I don't food I feel I won't like. That will never change. I always think it is waste of money . If I try i and I don't like it, either I go hungary that night or I have to get what I like so it cost double.

Hello Sarah. I wouldn't say I am a picky eater, but ofcourse I do have preferences. For instance, I prefer vegetable to any kind of meat. I am not a vegetarian, but, when I go for a buffet lunch or dinner, I go straight to the veggie counter first. And, I also like seafood a lot. And, lots of dessert items, any thing that has a lot of chocolate in it. Yummy, yummy !

sarahruthbeth22 yes I am so picky I eat lotsof veggies and fruits cause I do not want to die until I am really old plus I am a diabetic and must eat for health and control of my blood sugar. I eat what I like as I like foods that are actually good for me and make me feel healthy and happy. shame on you abusing your poor body that way.Breakfast is very important but why am I tellingyou this as you will not listen any way, everyone can eat foods they like if they eat in small portions instead of the giant king sized multi sized burgers and fries and etc. I like hamburgers and french fries also but eat accordingly so everthing I eat is counted up and I have my blood sugar under control.

It isn't abuse. If I ate the way everyone wants me to, I wouldn't be happy. The breakfast in the morning wold make me soo full and I would fel sick all day. I rather not eat and be happy than eat what they say is correct and be miserable. i can see why you Have to eat right to feel good.

I'm a picky eater, but I LOVE vegetables. I love certain vegetables, that is, like lettuce, spinach, broccoli, zucchini, and so on. I don't eat meat though and I only occasionally eat dairy! I would call myself picky.

I'm someone who eats anything that is edible, other wise you will find it hard to survive. Even I was a picky eater till the time was in my home & my parents used to feed me & once I stated to live on my own, I understood that we should eat everything & if we stay as a picky we only will suffer, However this depends on your life life style & also depends on how you live. if you are rich & there is no struggling in your life, then there is no problem in being a picky eater but if you are a male or struggling with your life, then picky eating can make you & your family suffer a lot. Happy Lotting

agree the ral poor can't afford to be picky but the rest of us can. I rather save up to eat what I Know I will like than just eat something I know I will not like.

Absolutely not. I eat what is served on the table. After all it is just a meal. When I go to a restaurant, the story will be different. I choose what I want to eat. This is particularly so when I go for buffet dinners and luncheons. That is the time to be picky!

the best invention was the buffet and the food court. Finally I could eat out with my family. Everyone can eat what they wanted!

i could accept most of the food around me as well as it tastes good. however, i also refuse the food that seems very strange, such as wild animals and some sea food. it is surprised that you don't eat vegetables. i suggest you may try to eat some vegetables, maybe they are not so bad as you imagine.

I don’t know how to answer the question. Basically I can eat everything cooked at home, but when I go out I’m a little picky. I don’t like eating food I can not see its original shape. I mean I want to see clearly what I eat. I also pick the place where I eat and which style of food I will have. Here I feel no choice when going out. Some are too expensive; some are just western junk food. I miss the time when I was in Beijing I had many choices with reasonable prices.

If I had to eat the things I hate just to be rich,I rather remain poor. The food I like isn't expensive. In fact I rather have fast food than a posh meal.

i don't think that i'm much of a picky eater. there are only a few things that i don't eat. i don't really eat vegetables and i don't like pineapples on pizza and raisins on anything. i usually take out the pineapples when i'm eating pizza. but i do eat pineapples alone, just not together with pizza. and i don't like to eat raisins. for some reason, eating them makes me sick to my stomach. but other than those, i have no problem with anything that's going to be served on the table. :)

Call me a pizza snob but there are no pineapples on a true pizza. I don't like pineapple. It is one of the foods I did try and found I didn't like.I'm sorry to hear about raisins. I like them in oatmeal cookies.

I respect food too. That's why I make sure No one buys food that I am not going to eat. Thankfully my mom got to know what I liked and that's what she bought.Food is too precious just to eat what you don't like.

I am a very picky eater too. I don't eat vegetables and I call all of them "halaman/plants" lol. My parents have always encouraged me to eat veges but I wouldn't because even they do not eat veges. I also am reluctant to taste food that I haven't tasted before especially when I dine outside. I ave a very sensitive stomach and i don't want to upset it especially when I am with my friends or on a date so I would rather choose to eat those that I have grown to love.

I am not alone! Why would I spend a large amount on money to try something I am not sure I will like? I rather go toa restaurant where I know I will like something on the menu.

I am definitely a picky eater. My mom said once I went off eating all types of baby foods I just ate mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches! Pretty much those are still my favorites. I don't eat vegetables and if I do (only carrots, romaine lettuce, broccoli in a salad) they all have to be raw. I absolutely won't eat any type of cooked vegetable. It's pretty much chicken for me, hamburgers, few steaks and pastas. I don't like all the veggies and all the mixed together weird beans, etc. that you find in cookbooks. I definitely understand where you are coming from. I do have to say my grandfather is picky too and still eats his junk food; reece cups, nutty butty, etc. daily and is 85, it's not hurting him either!
