My wife and I are Canadians who own a Mobile Home in an RV Park in South Texas. We take a road trip twice a year as we journey down south in October, and return by the same route in April. WE drive a Toyota Matrix, and are very happy with the gas mileage. We enjoy our winter vacation in Alamo Palms RV Park in Alamo Texas. I enjoy the Park activities which include Swimming in the heated Pool, Yoga in Tampico Hall, Biking with the Bike club, bird watching, Shopping in Mexico, Park Dinners, and Games, etc.

In a few years we hope to be doing the same. Traveling south in the fall and back to NH in the fall. Alamo Texas sounds great. Have a great winter..and a safe trip.

If you are going through Virginia, Williamsburg is a great place to stop. It is full of history. Busch Gardens is also there. There are also quite a few good campgrounds throughout the state, depending on the route you take. This time of year, the leaves have not changed yet and the weather is still pretty warm during the day. Check out some of the hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It runs right through my backyard, and I can tell you that there is an abundance of wildlife to see.

Thanks so much for your input. We have been to williamsburg many times and I love it there. We've been to the pottery factory for years now. I think that will be one of our stops through va again this year.
