Everyday can be a struggle, especially for those with debts to pay and emergiencies, and of course those with all forms of depression and anxeities etc. However there has to be at least one good thing that comes out of each new day. What is it today?
For me, today one of my long time friends turned 25 and I shall follow her in 11 days. I'm glad she's my friend and that she graduated nursing back in spring. Furthermore I still have my cat, she likes attention as long as one does not pick her up, though she wont harm one, she would rather do what she wants. However she's always getting up on the computer desk and sleeping beside the monitor so always a good time to pet her.

You are right. Regardless of what happens there is at least ONE good thing that happens.
Lets see, I went to the dentist and got a tooth pulled. Little bugger has been giving me problems for the last two days. So I got a much needed nap from the last few nights.
So my nap was the best part of my dad. Does that count? LOL

If you enjoyed it, then it counts. Although getting a tooth pulled can be a pain, it can also stop further pain or absess from forming or at least continuing to grow. Apparently an abscess can lead to heart failure. I sometimes watch trutv and similar things. Naps are great too, over in many spanish speaking countries they take a nap everyday called siesta and they seem so very friendly too. Maybe naps keep one cheerful?

The best part of today-hmmm-I went to my grandson's football game and even though they lost-he knew I was there and I really enjoyed watching the game.

The absolute BEST part of Monday 09/14/2009 was waking up. Everybody has their own set of challenges. In my opinion, it's how we deal with those challenges that counts!!! I went to lunch with my best friend on Friday & she was whining because she was having a bad hair day. You would think the world was coming to an end with the way she was carrying on!!! Then a man came in that had maybe 2 inches for both his arms, then an elbow then maybe an inch before his wrist & tiny little hands at the end of his wrists. In order to write a check he had to hold the pen in his mouth to write. He had to wait on somebody to fill his drink cup & bring him his food. He couldn't lift his fork to his mouth & could only hold the fork still & lick the food off his fork. I reminded her that he would think he was having a GREAT day if his ONLY problem was having a bad hair day!!! So, I try to wake up feeling blessed that I was allowed to share another day with the world & NEVER feel sorry for myself!!! No matter how bad our day is, somebody is having it WORSE!!!!
Be thankful for what you have & don't stress over what you don't have!!! Jumps off soapbox
