Do you feel more comfortable having friends of your gender or the opposite?

I was thinking about this the other day and I am just so much more comfortable having close friends of the opposite gender. I feel a lot of females are catty and mean with hidden agendas (this might be my younger years scars poking out at me). Male's are just so much easier. Most I know don't over analze every thing that happens and usually are really good at cheering me up. My sister is the one female friend I know I can and will always trust.
So what about you? Who are you more comfortable around and why?

! But what kind of question is that
I love having female friends, I rarely ever talk to males, we're just about a few simple things, and money and women are 2 of them! So, I just stick with money and women, and deal with my species whenever. Besides, when I'm tired and feel like laying out, I can just cuddle under the softness of one of my female friends...

Thats not a bad idea, I only saw one other blog about referrals! Question, where did you come across my blog to sign up to MyLot n all that? Just curious, wouldn't mind going back to the well

congrats with your start Bstuff.
well for me its okay if my friends are males or females like me, as long as we have something in common to share with. as long as they are willing to carry my wierdoness lol. but for me i can say that male friends are okay for they are honest enough to tell to your face what they want to say to me.... while females friends are cool to go with shopping and a good shoulder to cry with.

i am comfortable with both...luckily i didnt get that type of women as u have stated....i have good female friends too..and with males i am comfortable if they are online..but offline in India..we have very less opposite gender friendship...it exsists only till u r unmarried...or in very high society it exsists after marriage also..but common people dont carry it too seriously after marriage..its the effect of culture and background here

I feel comfortable with both, as long as we have some common interest and have something to talk about. I feel quite uncomfortable the first time I met some guy that cannot find common topic to talk about. It's quite comfortable to being with many friends and some of them are from internet. Quite often We can chat for more than 1 hour.
