Life in general.

Here i was sitting in my back garden, at 1:00 am, staring atthe moon, puffing on my cigarette, so deep in thought, that i had an epithany. Stick with me, this will make sense when you get to the end of reading it, and its as follows;
Do you find it funny that you can walk forward 15 steps, stop, then walk backwards, and not be able to see where you are going, even though you just walked that way. yet contradictively we all go through life, not being able to see whats ahead of us yet are easily able to look back at what we've gone through already.
Some people, even go through the same hardships twice, just because they didnt see it happening to them the second time.
This really got me thinking for a little while, what are your reactions to this?

That's some deep thoughts. I think people in general don't like to think about failures. There is a way of closing them up, turning it off in order to move forward. The down side to this is that the lesson isn't learned.
So yes there are repeat mistakes, but how those mistakes could have been handled or should have been handled are lost because, as you said, a person loose sight of what they have done. I see it as they don't want to admit they are wrong or they don't deal with past mistakes to make it a more construcive future.
I think it really is on the personality of the person. Either they don't accept responsiblity or they can't admit to a mistake.

i agree; dwelling on failures isnt healthy, im a fan of sucking up and moving on. but to some degree you have to learn from those failures, ive found that life moves pretty fast, and you have to take a little time to just stop and reflect every now and then. look back, take a step back; you may fall over again doing so, there is such a thing as being too hesitant in making hte same mistake twice, but thats life. every now and then youl have to admit that you made a mistake no matter how arrogant you are. building on your own character is hard, although we dont admit it we all have a hint of narcism in us that will try and cover up a mistake or a part of our own pasts that we are ashamed of or embarrased about.

Hey,
Yea that is some very true words you have just written their. Countless people have had to deal with hardships more than once, and they also didn't see that it might happen to them a second time. One of the persons who had to deal with this was my mother. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I suppose it depends on the personality. Some people are less sensitive or less determined. they accept things that happen to them for many reasons. maybe because they see it happens to other people, or they think it's normal in certain society. so they live their lives going with the flow of the current, never look back and never get too excited about the future.
Others are observant, determined and sensitive. They accept nothing but the best and fair. They learn on every single event in their lives, because they believe it would help them reach better potential and better future.
Then there are those that jump into things. So they go through life without much planning for the future and observations of the past. Since everything that happens in our lives are meant for us to learn, they keep repeating the same mistake because they learn nothing. They forget that before they learn to run and jump, they have to learn to walk. So they are actually wasting their time jumping into something that doesn't worth their time and so they lose time anyway.
Life is only temporary. We should live it to the fullest. If we consider every step we make in life, we can look back one day and say 'hey, that's a lot of steps!' I'm still learning to do this myself. I am a bit of both, the jumper and the walker. But learning from the past, I know now the walker isn't really as slow as I thought.
