Do you need an alarm clock to get up?

I must say that I have never had to use an alarm clock to get up in the mornings. I worked over 26 years in the public work place and I was always on time. I never depended on an alarm clock to wake me up. Today, eventhough I am retired I still get up early before everyone else in the house. I love waking up on my own. What do you do?

I depend on and rely on my cellphone alarm to wake me up. If it were not for that I would definitely be late for work most mornings and I'd probably end up getting fired because I'd end up missing work entirely. I'm just not programmed to normally wake up reliably without the alarm. Some mornings I wake up about a minute before my alarm goes off but I normally do not.

I want to say,I also love waking up on my own,but if I wake up on my own,the time will be 8am or 9am,that's late for my work.
So I must use an alarm(maybe several alarms)to get up in the mornings. With alarm I have never been late for my work.

I don't really depend on my cellphone alarm to go off, but there are times when you're so tired due to overtime or something you did the night before that it's only the alarm clock which reminds you of the reality that you have to get up to go to work.
I think you won't need an alarm clock if you sleep on time and wake up on time like a routine everyday. But if you have varied sleeping times then it would be a necessity to have an alarm clock or some sort of way to be waken up if you totally forgot to wake up due to being overly tired.
