I've read this long time ago when I was still in high school.
"KEEP RIGHT" - the world shortest sermon can be found on a thousand traffic signs.
Until later I learned that not all vehicle are left hand drive, which means that there are road sign that could be "keep left". Well for sure I know that guiding someone to "keep right" is certainly a good idea. In case of "keep left" well... you decide. lol.

Sermon according to wikipedia - is an oration by a prophet, or member of a clergy, sermon address a Biblical, theological, religious or moral topic.
If you advice someone to always keep in "righteous" way then I think this is far more logical than telling someone to "stop"?

Maezee say "STOP" is shorter than "KEEP RIGHT" it was true in terms of road sign, but if you re-read my post I say "THE WORD SHORTEST SERMON". The third paragraph on my post only meant for humor.
Anyway I didn't write it, nor created the sign I merely post what I've read only for discussion.
Telling someone to be morally righteous, I think could be considered sermon.
But nevertheless thanks for joining the discussion. :))

This was the sign posted on the on the stairs of the school where i attended grade school... and we were often reminded by teachers to keep right when climbing or descending the stairs so that we will avoid crowding... i never thought these two words are considered as sermons...
Not a good sign to post in the streets of London though... because they drive on the left side of the road... while here in my country... we drive on the right side...

I was also a high school student when I read that sign somewhere, I don't remember the exact place. As I said on my reply above telling someone to be "righteous" can be considered as sermon, maybe not for some. Yes your right not in Europe or maybe in Japan I think.
Thanks for the response.

oh yes i see, reading the responses, you obviously meant it as a double meaning. but you only made the mistake in your play of words by saying its also the shortest road sign the funny things we come up with on mylot
