Anybody watched Gamer?

I'm not even sure whether it's out at other parts of the world, but here in Malaysia, Gamer opened to a good reception and it was a hit. Gerard Butler definitely did a good job.
The whole movie revolves around the future where gaming, internet and technology has become so advanced that people play other real people. Like for example, the lead character is an innocent convict sentenced to death row but he and other inmates gets put into this 'game' where they fight for their freedom. Kinda like Gladiator.
So the lead character was played by this super rich kid and he managed to get out of the system to confront the creator of the game. The ending was such a twist - I never really expected it.
At times the explosions are a bit loud though - its kinda hard to keep track of things when they're playing the game.
But, definitely two-thumbs up. What do you think?

I have not seen this movie yet dont know if its out in the us it could be even though I thought it might be out this friday or next friday. But It does look like a pretty cool movie so I think I will go see this when it comes out unless if more people give it bad reviews.

I really enjoyed the movie and i want nailed down by the comcept of using real people for gaming. that was really good but the story was a litlle bit short and not well elaborated. The movie was a little bit predictable. The other thing i didn't like in the movie is that they make it like normal to use people in the game they didn't insist enough on the controverse that this technology could raise.
Bottom line I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO PEOPLE WHO LIKES SCI-FI MOVIES AND GAMING.

Hey there! I really enjoyed the Gamer. I saw it last week and I have to say, it was a nice movie. We were reluctant to watch at first because of all the bad reviews the movie received. There was nothing bad about it. Gerald Butler and Michael Hall were great in the movie. The twist was great. I also give it two thumbs up.
