I used to be able to sleep anywhere and at any time of day or night. I once fell asleep on the floor of the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while waiting for my luggage! LOL I could sleep in broad daylight, on a hard surface or in a chair, in the car, anywhere. I was a light sleeper and would wake up easily, but it was easy to fall back to sleep. These days, though, I never sleep well. I get so tired during the day that I must take naps. Of course, that means that I rarely sleep through the night. The most I get now is 5 hours at night. Normally, I'll sleep 2 or 3 hours, wake up and do something for awhile, then go back to sleep for another 2 or 3 hours. Recently, though, I was given a new medication to help me sleep and also to help me to stop clenching my teeth while I sleep (bruxism). I'm usually able to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep at a time now. You, though, being so young, should not have problems sleeping. Is there anything on your mind or do you have more stress than usual? I hope that it's just a temporary thing and that you'll be able to sleep like you used to very soon. I wish you the best.

I think that everyone has their own "internal clock" as far as sleeping goes. I've always been a night owl and usually couldn't even try to get to sleep before midnight. If I didn't have to work when I was younger, I probably would have stayed up until 2 or 3 a.m. and wake up later in the morning. Actually, now that I remember back, my last full-time job was from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. so I was able to stay up later and wake up later in the morning. But these days, I don't know. It's probably the constant pain I'm in that keeps waking me up and prevents me from going to sleep when I'd like to. That's why I'm still awake right now. It's 1:44 a.m. where I live and I should really be asleep. But, there's no sleeping for me right now because my husband just woke up to go in to work early. He likes to get in early to avoid traffic and I'm glad he can do that but he often wakes me up right after I've gotten to sleep and that can make me grouchy. But, he'll be going to work soon and I can finally get some sleep! LOL

hi jane. i remember when i was still in college. i have to commute for two hours from our home to school. so i have less sleeps that time. i have to wake up at 5 so i can leave at 6 to reach the opening of the class at 8. same thing when going home from school that closes at 5. when i get home, i feel so tired. so whenever i am in travel, i can easily sleep. even inside the LRT and standing. but now, i know i can't do that, to sleep just whenever and wherever i want to. that maybe because of the problems i am facing these days. less income, more expenses. the sleeping problem of our son. more bills to pay. more loan. too indebted i am.

hello dear friend, I think sleeping is one of the most easiest and comfortable thing that we can do in our day to day life. And frankly speaking dear,I just love to sleep. If I had not any work, then I think I would have slept 24 hours a day.I can sleep very easily in any condition and when I am asleep,I cant feel any disturbances and can complete a quite nice sleep at once.I still remember the day when I was a bit younger. That day all my family members gone out outside and I was at home all alone.I locked the door and I went to sleep.I was having a nice sleep but outside all my family members were knocking the door and were calling me.But I WAS IN A HARD SLEEP.SO,AT LAST THEY CUT THE LOCK AND CAME IN AND FOUND ME STILL SLEEPING.. SO,now you can know that how easily I sleep and how nice it is.. Keep smiling and happy myLotting...

I am known to my friends as "Queen of Sleeping" most of the time. I can sleep almost anywhere, in any sort of condition. Just last week, I fell asleep in the middle of a pep rally that was pretty insanely loud. That was quite an achievement for me, considering I was sitting on a hard, cold floor with nothing to use for a pillow. I can sleep through lots of noise if I am tired enough, and I can also fall asleep pretty fast. Usually on a normal night I fall asleep within 10 minutes of lying down on my bed. I fall asleep even faster on a car - if I'm not talking to anyone I would most likely fall asleep within 5 minutes. So sleeping comes fairly easy for me unless I am really not tired or too stressed to fall asleep.

Yeah, I haven't ever had any trouble sleeping. I can sleep just about anywhere, as long as I'm not too cold. That's the one thing that keeps me from sleeping. But I am not even very picky about that. I can sleep fine if I have a sweatshirt and long pants on, and nothing else, as long as they keep me at a normal temperature. Your problem might just be a change in stress or maybe a change in age. It might not be as easy for you to fall asleep as it used to, for all sorts of reasons. Little kids do tend to sleep better anywhere though.

I think that my sleeping habit is fine now compared to months before. I try not to stay late. I sleep the latest at 11 pm and wake around 7 am. I need to be conscious of it so that I will not be disrupted anymore. Drinking one glass of milk also helps me.

I'm afraid i don't sleep so well. I'm a light sleeper, so i wake up very easily, on top of that i can't sleep anywhere except on bed. And i think i've turned into one of those people who can only sleep really late. 1am, 2 am. I can't remember the last time i slept at 9pm. I want to sleep more... when i don't lack sleep, it shows. my skin looks better, and i heard those who lack sleep are more likely to gain weight. Hope we have more good sleep, janebeth

Well i can't hardly get into sleep. I have develop a sleeping problem and its really hard to have lack of sleep. Like me perhaps you are stress or bothered and have a lot of things in mind that's why you can't sleep easily. If you let that prolong- i mean if you just ignored that and make it a habit you will surely have sleeping problem like me and its not really good for the health. I tell you its really hard but anyway try to relax and don't think to much. Eat healthy foods and have a good lifestyle as this is one factor for having sleeping issue. Freshen up yourself before going to bed, drink milk and see if it helps. YOu can also try a relaxing massage. It will help you relax i am sure.

I tend to stay awake until I pass out while standing. i've even fallen asleep riding a bicycle homw from work.. managed to travel two miles before an oncoming car's headlights snapped me awake. I was on the wrong side of the road.. but had made two turns while unconscious. lol.

I could easily fall asleep on a bed or a couch if I am feeling tired. But it would be hard for me to sleep unless my head is resting on something soft. I could go without a blanket when I sleep but it would be hard without a pillow.

hi, Janebeth I can sleep easily only if I am tired. I feel You are thinking about something that is why you are not able to sleep. If it is true, I think you have to stop thinking forget everything for a while, and one more thing try to read books before sleeping and you can sleep very easily.

Hi Janebeth! I am a good sleeper. I can sleep wherever I am may it be on the couch or on the floor. I love sleeping so much. I can actually fall asleep even in the noisiest place. My brother has a band and they do their practice in our house and it doesn't bother me at all even in the middle of the night. I also don't just fall asleep because of tiredness, most of the time I also fall easily because of boredome. Am I weird?
