My Lot Payments and Earnings!

I wanted to create this discussion as we have just received payment and I want to find out something. I have reached payment several times now over the previous months and whenever I receive the payment I notice that it's not the entire amount that I have made in my My Lot account. There's always an amount left over. So, my question is, why do My Lot not pay the full earnings that you have accumulated? Why do they only pay most of what you have earned? This has always been the case ever since I joined My Lot over a year ago now. Have you noticed this? Do you know why this is? Andrew

you surely have some ideas already on how to get the payments with your paypal. for sure you will learn or understand them all. it is quite confusing at first and even overwhelming to learn it all as fast as possible.

Oh rest assured! You really are in a good place in relation to My Lot! Welcome to My Lot by the way, you have a whole lot of posting to do! I love this site and I've been here for over a year now and I'm extremely pleased with the payment system. Andrew

Yesterday I received a payment from mylot to my PayPal account and I was really pleased. I don’t know what happened with your earnings, but I was paid fully. I mean I was paid for the earnings before 31 August. I suppose earnings you mentioned were beyond the paid day or might be from your referrals. In some websites earnings from referral will be paid just when the referrals reach payout too.
I’m new here and I need time to get used to the website, so maybe it’s not correct answer. I wish you can get the answer you want as soon as possible.Best regards.

I think I'm beggining to understand that now, thanks! I read the FAQ when I first joined and have never read them since but I'm thinking now based on what everyone has said that there's obviously a cutoff point. Andrew

This is explained in the FAQs and several other places. MyLot pay up to and including the last day of the previous month. If, on the 30th of September, you have earned, for example, $13.64, then that is what they will pay on or around the 15th of October (it's often before that). Of course, in the first half of October you will likely have accumulated some more but that will go towards your next payment.
It's all about the logistics of verifying payments and how their accounting system works. If you have a regular job, you are usually paid a week or a month in arrears. It's exactly the same principle.

Thanks owlwings, that clarifies everything! I think that the last time I had a look at the terms and conditions and FAQs was over a year ago now, I only ever looked at them the once! Still, I guess it doesn't do any harm to read them again. Andrew

that's what i noticed too every time i get paid.the first 15 days of the new month is not included in the last months earnings for the pay out. . it's like a salary day for employees, my company did that kind of salary scheme.

take a note of how much you gained at the last date of the month. for example i have 11.58 earnings last aug 31. so i know that when the earnings will transfer at paypal i know i will gain only have 11.58 even my earnings at sept 13 is 15.02 already. the cut of date is at the end of every month, though mylot is giving it only second week of the present month mylot will only give the cut off earning.

I agree with you. Infact i received my payment today and i too noticed that i had not received the full amount but a part of it in decimals. I suppose Mylot does not like to see a zero in our accounts, which perhaps they think will make us feel bad, haha!!

I thought that it might relate to something like that but I don't think this is the case now. From reading everyone's post I'm beginning to understand how the payment system works. It's always nice to see money showing on the account though! Andrew

Hi Andrew, as you put this subject up and are singing the praise of Paypal I have a serious question. Have you actually tried to take money out of your paypal account yet and transfer it to a stirling account as I'm having an immense amount of difficulty doing so so you could possibly assist.

Hi thea, I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with paypal. Yes, I have transferred some money in the past to my bank account from my paypal account. There's nothing to it really. It doesn't cost me anything to transfer money from my paypal account to my bank account, well I have not been charged yet. Tell me more about your difficulty. Also, I don't know whether you have done this already but you need to link your bank account to your paypal account and then you can transfer money either way. Good luck and let me know how you get on. Andrew

Hi thea, wow that's quite a lot of problems that you have been facing with them! I haven't experienced any of those problems. I remember though that you mentioned that paypal sent two small amounts into your bank account, this also happened to me and it's just to validate your bank account, it's let's them know that they have the right details. Anyway, all I can advise is, get intouch with them, I know it's a real nuisance but you will sort it out and once everything has been done you shouldn't have any further problems. In terms of withdrawel amounts from paypal I think there may be a minimum and maximum amount that you can withdraw in one go. For me in British pound sterling the minimum amount is £6. I can withdraw anything after I have accumulated more than this amount. I'm happy with paypal overall as it's a very safe way to transfer your money and I tend to use paypal if I can when making online payments and purchasing things, this way you don't ever give out any of your bank account or card details. Sorry if I'm not much help on this thea but be persistant, you will sort it out and once you have, everything else will run smoothly, it's just this first step you need to get past. Good luck and let me know how you get on. Andrew

Hi Andrew, well the whole thing is proving to be an endless nuisance I must say. Having left some £ sitting in paypal I decided the other day to transfer it to my stirling account which they have all the details for. It kept coming up saying the amount I wanted to withdraw in one go was too much but even when I lowered the amount it still said it. So I followed instr. to set up dd to make the transfer. It then tells me they have put 2 small amounts in my bank and I have to confirm the amount. For goodness sake. No bank statement arrived last month so the only way to confirm is to make a long distance expensive call to the bank to listen to a machine for 20 mins.
So I think cheaper option set up an online thing with bank to check statement. Not a ble to do it as site does not like my postcode. Says check postcode on statement, yeah the one that never arrived, yet again. So used old statement with exact same postcode in Greece as on my statement and it wouldn't work so option closed.
So then I get ,email from paypal saying my dd is now set up and I can now transfer money from my own acct to my own bank acct if I provide details from my statement. So back to square one. I have wasted more time on this complete waste of activity than I care to think about. So are they always so difficult. And what new next step will they add on. Can't even contact them as just get stupid follow the box type questions. SCREAM.

I may be wrong, but, I imagine it's because when you join myLot they start you out with a token amount to give you kind of a jump? As a result when you want to get payment from them that same amount they want to make sure is always in your account? I don't know. I hope this helps, Andrew.

It happens all the time on me too, everytime i received my payment via paypal.
ANd i think, when you send money, there is a service fee and it's deducted from our payment coz i think mylot charge it to us.
im not quite sure really, better to asks this question to admin.

My PayPal is set up to receive both dollar and sterling amounts with no charge. I only pay for conversion (at PayPal's somewhat unattractive rates) when I convert the dollar balance to sterling (or vice versa).
Some websites, however, do seem to pass on a PayPal charge, so I'm not quite clear what the situation is. I certainly receive the full (dollar) amount from MyLot and most other sites but I specifically had to tell PayPal to keep a balance in both currencies - something, perhaps, that you should check in your account preferences.

That makes me feel fortunate that I receive payment in my American dollar currencies. I do get paid by a guy in India and I always have fees there. I still would rather get paid, and pay fees than not get paid at all.

Yes, I'm not too keen on the idea of paypal charging a small sum just so that I can receive money into my account but I suppose I have to accept that. It's at times like this that I wish I was an American citizen so that I can receive payment in US dollars! Oh well! Andrew

Well as far as what I suspected my friend, if you have always money remained on mylot you keep always on coming to get for that again..don't you notice you can't get the whole amount because before you can reach your payout amount you have to add more from your payout...now, when you have to quit they have a gain from your work. You can't get your payout if you earn just the same as your payout amount...that's only my point of view..I may be wrong...he h he he eh ehe

Hi stebiz,
I don't about the payouts,
But what I've observed here is that Quality posts makes some good money...!
A quality post should contain atleast 4 to 5 lines...!
If you are posting one line, it'll decrease your profile's reputation as well as your earnings....!
Welcome to Mylot and Happy Mylotting...!

Hello Andrew...How are you doing?
I too got paid yesterday. I did get what I thought I should have gotten. I know that you get paid for what you earned up to the last day of the month. Then it doesn't clear off until the pay is submitted. If you will notice now that your earnings is different than what it was this time last week. That might be what you are seeing. If not then Im not sure what has happen to yours. I hope that I might have helped you a little...

Hi rosepedal, I'm fine thanks, I hope that you are well also. Things are ok now in terms of understanding the payment system. I only ever read those FAQs once, I'm not one for going through the rules more than once but as a result you do tend to forget especially when you last checked them over a year ago as in my case! Well, now I'm going to be working towards the next payment date I guess! Andrew

I have a question for you, if you don't mind :)
I love MyLot because I can do what I love to do is reading and writing, but it's such a bonus to get earnings from it. Do you feel your goal is to earn money on this site or take in your interests of discussions and benefit from the bonus of having earnings? NO ANSWER IS WRONG, because I know many people who like this site just because it's easy to write something and get paid for it. THESE DAYS I'M ALL FOR THAT HUSTLE OF GETTING SOME MONEY. Times are tough, I know first hand :)

I believe they prefer to have a deadline for the list of people getting paid before the 30th. i remember i reached the pay out but it was already the next month 15 days before the pay out, then i saw the schedule it was for next month. example, what ever you earned on the 30th or 31st of the month, will be considered for the schedule of pay out as long as it is more than 10 dollars or so. like what happened to me, i got 25$ just before the emerging of September one. before the pay out was sent my current earnings were 36$, they just deducted what i have achieve last month, leaving over only 11$. they have schedule or halt procedure most specially when you reached beyond 10$. that's why i didn't change my pay out setting to 25$ because i might not make and if sept. 1 comes in and am still at 24$ then they will reschedule it next month. well, I believe the same scenario might happen again that's why my minimum pay out is always 10$
