Hi there!
Are you talking about Counterstrike? If yes, yes, I play the game. You're right that it's one of the best games ever. It teaches gamers about teamwork and strategy. I stopped playing Counterstrike when I got hooked on an online game, then DOTA and now Facebook but I still know how to play the game. I'm just not as good as I used to be but I can still that I can play decently.

I have clocked a numerous amount of hours and im now starting to get good. i had to continually play office/dust2 servers. Voice communication is also key. To be honest Counter Strike is a game of skill and communication. It will take a long time to get good.

5 years of playing? You should be pretty good by now even if you're playing casual.
If you want to improve your game, just play and play. Watch demos of best players. r
Record demos of your play. Don't watch demos where you're winning but where you're losing and think about what mistakes you did. Try some configs of popular players to see what setting they use. Then work on your own. Get a good mouse and mousepad.
I don't play cs. I play q3 and ET but everything I said can be applied to any fps game...

Well as far as i think yes you do need some technical skills when you want to be a superior CS because there are few exams or training time when you need to develop yourself or you have to show paper that you are eligible to get that post even if you got the skill and no paper i dont think they will make you, you got to have paper for that.

I've played CS, I used to be pretty good but I havent played for a bit. I've enojyed it especially when we have a LAN party of 'bout like 20 ppl. Cuase its fun to taunt each other and work as a team.

This game is immortal. After so many years there are still people playing CS everywhere. In it's heyday, we'd rack up tons of money winning tournaments left and right. I haven't practiced lately but i think i still got the touch. I remember the feeling of killing people with jumping snipers and quick knife stabs. Ahhh the memories.
