Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is leaving again for Turkey tomorrow. What? Again? It seems that she has become a jet-setter Philippine President. How much would it cost us Filipinos again. Will she dine again in an expensive restaurant? How many are going with her again in this trip? How many millions again are expected to be wasted?

no matter how inexpensive this trip will be, anyway she spend less than her previous ones, this president will no longer change how the people will look at her. she already did it and she can no longer hide from the media and people, even foreign cameras and reporters will always keep an eye to her.

Yeah nad it's not only Turkey but there are 2 more countries after that. I guess she will not dine lavishly because it might again be subjected to questioning even if it's free or otherwise.
She is the most well travelled President but one thing is she's spending people's money. It maybe alright but it's not if there's no good coming out of her trips anyway.
And those going with her are all very proud to be photgraphed with her as her entourage which is really a shame.

The expenditures of this administration were really explosive. Of course, one would say from their end that a President cannot dine in McDonalds or any hamburger chain. I believe that you can already feed millions of people with the amount of trips and expensive meals combined. Good thing they can still sleep and not bothered by their conscience.

Well I think GMA is taking advantage of this last few months in power. I think her last ditch effort to make her image a bit good to the public is by making this trips and showing to them what they had gathered from this trips. I think they would not do the New York spendings since this is not a luxurious place. I also knew that there are lesser delegates that are joining since the place is not that good as compared to the US trips.

what's new here? it seems that our president is numb and deaf to the complaints and grievances of the people she is governing. she is living on her own, disregarding the plight of the poor people and lavishing on the luxuries at the expense of taxpayer's money. she never learns and seems like playing around with the power and money entrusted through her by the filipino people. i am more looking forward to next year's election to be able to kick her out of office.

Yeah, and I heard that's not the last of it, too. Not sure how much this will cost us -- yes, we're the one spending for her trips because she's using taxpayers' money for all these "excursions."
She probably won't be spending as much as she did in her US trip and she probably won't be bringing lots of people with her because her recent trips came under scrutiny, and because they're not going to the USA -- every Filipino's green pasture.

Politicians don't bother about public money. Arroyo is not only example. Bangladesh foreign minister Ms.Dipu Moni got her ministry 6 month ago. By this time she visited at least eight countries. The politicians all over the world are not concerned about their country. They fulfill their own interest.
