Yes, I have problems sleeping due to things on my mind. I worry after I get in bed and then I can't go to sleep. I worry about what if something happened and then I imagine things that may be wrong with me. Good Discussion

I used to have a super stressful, fast paced job and I would really struggle with this. Everything would happen so fast during the day that I didn't process my conversations until I was at home and things were winding down. Then I would lay awake at night problem solving and replaying things in my head. It was horrible! Now I have a lower stress job and I don't struggle with it anymore. Thank goodness!

I always have that kind of problem, whenever I am doing my writing and I sleep late because of that I can’t sleep immediately although my eyes are tired because I keep on thinking about what I have to right. Topics are continue downloading on my brain and I don’t know how to stop it. I sometimes drink water to lessen the stress or eat fruit. Or a warm milk will be better. You know what I did now, I change my schedule. When I arrived at home, I rest for a while, eat my dinner and do my writings immediately. After doing my writings, I will rest my mind. I either listen to music or watch comedy program. I watch entertaining program for my brain to rest from my writing. And I sleep. I do that so that I will separate my brain from thinking about the writings I made. It lessen my brain to think and think, and I can be able to sleep.

I just have problems sleeping in general. I find it very difficult to get a good night's sleep and it is something that I am often struggling with. It should be easier to get a good night's sleep than it seems to be in myy opinion. I wish i could sleep better because it would make my life easier.

Yes I have the same problem. My brain doesn't want to shut down. Its a horrible place to be at 3:00am in the morning. This happens about 3 to 4 times a week. Its not a good situation to be in especially when you are taking care of a grandchild all day. I try not to think about anything but I will even wake up after sleeping maybe 4 hours and start thinking then I can't get back to sleep.

Hi Jugs.....Yes I do have trouble sleeping sometimes because of health issues I have. It is really hard sometimes to schedule appointments ahead of time because I never no what night I will sit up all night because I cannot fall asleep.
I thank God for the computer because at least it gives me something to do and keeps me busy so I am not thinking about what is going on.I was really lost while I didn't have any computer because mine had went bad, so I took up my next hobby and that was crocheting.
Needless to say I was able to make a few Christmas gifts so at least my time wasn't totally wasted.

Hello jj. I do have some problems with sleep if I overthink something when I sleep. It is not good to think about things when it is time to sleep. It bothers me a lot if I do so. Sometimes I am kept wide awake due to mind working over time. I will be very exhausted the next day without a good sleep.

Night time is the worst time of day for letting things bother us. It is very easy to lie there and have all these things go thru our mind. So, I usually try to make sure I am tired before I go to bed, so it doesn't take much time for me to fall asleep. I May have to read a book, watch TV, or play a game on my computer, until I can no longer keep my eyes open. Then I know I am ready for bed.
I have heard that a nice room temperature glass of milk, helps relax one to sleep quicker. But I can't fathom drinking milk unless it's ice cold.

Yes this used to happen to me very often. The way i got over it was to relax and make my mind blank.I stopped allowing these thoughts to trouble me.I would make it a point
not to allow such thoughts to remain in my mind i would divert to some pleasant experience or a thought which makes my mind melancholy.

Yeah, there are some instances where I'm thinking about a lot of things, either good things or bad things, and I can't stop thinking about them that I can't seem to fall asleep at night. In those cases, I wake up and do things that can make me feel sleepy. Recently, I've just been playing my DS to get myself all tired and sleepy.
