hi jaiho. our rented house right now, is situated along the road. and there are some known itchy hands nearby. so whenever we all go out, everything should be locked. there was a time, about 2 or 3 years ago. my brother in law had a mountain bike. everytime we go to sleep, we lock the gate. unfortunately, no one in the house locked the gate that night. so the following morning, the bike was already gone.

Hello neil, Here in our place, there are some thief also, and i guess thieves and robbers are everywhere. Good that no one is hurt and robbers took only the bike. Better double check locks next time too. Have a great Sunday tomorrow my friend

Maybe I could, but, I would not risk it. There are days where there isn't a soul around and everything is pretty peaceful and quiet, no harm there. Problem is when some brats decide to gang up and go around causing havoc... at that time, a easy to break in house is a stolen house. So, no, windows closed, doors locked. Not taking chances.

No I can't leave the house without securing it. Even if the place is safe, it's better to be secure. I always lock the door and windows before leaving the house and better yet, ask my uncle to watch over the house. Well, my uncle live just at the side of our house.

That's one problem in my house because my two helpers are so hard headed, just like when they leave the house we always told them to locked always the door even if they go for a while because in our place ,plenty of theft in our place. So we keep on telling them but my helpers are so hard headed. How I wish I could find a helper a good one. GOD BLESS xchyler

Hi jaiho2009 My home quiet safe, it is located in front of the park, beside local police office,,hehehe. Although the situation like that, my family always lock the door. It's just a habit and we can feel safer after that. If we inside the house, we dont' lock it, but if we leave, we always lock it, just for safety reason. Who knows the police not really aware and there are always possibility someone have bad intention. My house quiet easy to recognize compared to other houses, so, lock the door is the best option

Hello Chrysan, nice to see u again my friend.Well,i guess it is just being careful that you never leave your house open when you gone outside. Although i always leave my house open, there are also times that i locked it when i go out at daytime, like when i know i will stay long for some groceries which takes me 2 hours and usually when i go for some groceries i also take the time to buy some other things since i am already outside and at the mall. So,during this time when i know i stay long outside,i locked my door. Thanks for your responce and have a nice day always friend

Im lucky that I dont have to lock my doors during the day or even at night really. We have lived her for 15 years and the only time we have locked them is if we are going to be away a whole day. I have to say I do lock them at night thou as my mom feels safer knowing that they are locked. She still worries about us and if it eases her mind I do it. Ohh and she doesnt live with us she just feels that it should be locked so it is. LOL!

Even though we have four dogs in our house, and people can't enter to our house, if all of us are not around, we always lock the door ,even i going outside very quick, but all the people here are good, they don't enter other house if it is doesn't needed.

I can't leave my main door open, while staying in my house.. but I can have the sliding door open, while the grill is locked. no way, in the country that I am staying, anyone dare to open up to 'welcome' those break in.. Well, in some places on the country side, there are people who will open the door, which I think it's safer for those place.. in the city which I am living, it's not safe to open wide.. I even have my house being broken into once, and later had an attempt of another time, therefore, we will open the door but let the grill locked at all time..

before i can leave the house with out even locking the door simply because we don't have a nice house at home that we are mistook for a poor. so, no one takes interest in our house. our neighborhood is no longer safe because they're criminals and crazy home-less walks around the place.

Hi Jaiho, I can't. The security here is not good. I even lock the door immediately after I go into the house, unless my husband is at home. And I need to full check my room every night before I go to bed. Actually the security here is not that bad, but as I sleep alone, I want to make sure everything is right then I can fall into sleep without fearing. : ) Happy mylotting.

no. i make sure that the all the doors are locked every time i leave the house. it's too dangerous and some bad people might force their way into the house and steal our stuff. so to be safe, all doors should be locked.

I have lived in the same place for over 20 years and in all that time, I have never locked my doors and have never had a problem. Same goes for my car too. In fact, I can go to the store, leave it running in the parking lot (no one likes to shut off their car in the winter here) and come out and have it still sitting there, untouched. I live ain a pretty small town in a ruralarea, we really don't have a lot of problems.

Hello there! I always lock my door even if I leave for only a few mins. It only takes a few mins for someone to go into your house. Then there is the possibility of coming back and finding them still in your house. There are also would be robbers that sit and wait by your house until you leave so that they can enter your home. So yes I always make sure that my door is locked.

In my opinion, leaving your house open is like inviting intruders to come in your house and it is unsafe. You will never know what kind of people surrounds you. Others may notice that you don't lock your doors and they will be tempted especially at time of their needs to steal your valuable things. Furthermore, lost things maybe replaced but what if a day will come that your life is at stake? It is always better to play safe than regret it at the end when something horrible happens.
