Does anyone know why my laptop cursor is jumping all over the screen, making it almost impossible to type. The keyboard is not dirty..I'm ready to throw this computer in the trash. I really can not afford to take it to a tech at 30.00 per hr. The problem is a huge one as I write for a living and I can't operate like this. What would normally take me 5 seconds now takes several minutes as I have to type so slow and watch cursor every second. It will just jump to previous sentences and start typing in the middle of that sentence, or jump off screen alltogether and the worst is highlighting and erasing all by itself..I'm about to loose my mind..HELP ME PLEASE ANYONE!!!!

Check your drivers! Go to mouse on control panel! Possible! I just had a proplem a few minutes ago and went to logitech and had to reset my folder options in MY Computer! Now no more problems! Good Luck! Don't lose your cool! tdemex

Yes that happens to me a lot on this lap top I am using. My thumbs sometimes touch the mouse area when I am typing and I don't realize it and the next think I know the curser is up on some other text I had already typed like 3 lines up. It is very frustrating. I am trying really hard to keep my thumbs up when I am not using them now so that I don't accidently touch the pad. Very frustrating.

I took the advice of another lotter and updated by mouse drivers and it seemed to help..also, clean your keyboard. I use that compressed air in a can and it works good. It costs about 5 bucks at Office Depot. Radio Shack wanted more like 7.50..Maybe if you try both these things the problem will improve..good luck..I know how unbelievably fustrating it is..
