Hello friends now a days we are listening about austerity measures by our government. In some news paper some person criticized Fin. Minister that he has no authority to guide any minister. It is ridiculous to read such news . India is facing lots of difficulties like draught, economic recession, inflation and many others and at this juncture is it not a good point to talk about austerity. Few of our ministers are staying at five star hotel which daily cost is more than lakhs of rupees. If FM advised them to restrict govt's unnecessary expenditure though it is learnt that both the ministers are paying the amount from their own pocket. I think all ministers & MPS and also high profile bureaucrats must maintain such austerity measures. In all Central Govt and PSU may be suitably directed to follow such austerity measures. Well, I think they can cut down on certain expenses. But I don't think they need to fly on economy class. I think many of them are old and they need some kind of comfort. And moreover, economy class will not help them work more efficiently. They can cut down on foreign visits and security spending. And they can also reduce corruption and make workers more efficient.

Well; Even though I am a bit skeptical of these austerity measures . Yet something done is better than nothing. However;I believe that these measures should not be taken just for one time and need to be followed by all the government departments ;many of whom guzzle much more money than Central Ministers and Officials .
