I found out yesterday that my Favorite Aunt has been diagnosed with Cancer and its in her Kidney, she is having more tests done; AT this point in time, I've no idea if its just in one kidney or in both of them?? Stupid AOL won't let me in to access my email today so far, for any more news from my cousin; But long story short it doesn't sound good; So much Cancer runs on my Father's side of the family and each one has had cancer in a different place in their body, no one has had the same sort of Cancer to date; It's not fair she has so many other health problems as it is, her eyes, her heart, she is diabetic too, she's not as old as my Dad he is the oldest in his family but she is in her late 70's I do know that. I hope and pray that they will be able to simply remove one of her kidney's and that the cancer has not spread elsewhere... She is just one of the most nicest people on this planet and would do anything for you or for anyone else, she has always done so much for her family; I just hate that "C WORD" aka Cancer I just hate it!!

HI ya Polly~Doodle: ( I love saying that )! Thank you for sending my Aunt a prayer, I appreciate it and I know she would too; Yeah we won't know if its just the one kidney or if that crap has spread into both or other vital organs that's the thing, its rarely containable, or it comes back in other places, ( freaky sh!t that Cancer )... if it has spread I just don't hold out much hope then for my Aunt, she just has too many other health issues, like most of us do...

Hi jan~I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I do hope that the Cancer hasn't spread to the other kidney or anywhere else. I am sorry to hear that she has other illnesses too. It is just so unfair that they can't find a cure already for this most evil disease! It takes so many people that we know and love! I will say a prayer for her and I hope that she will not suffer. And as for you my friend, please take good care of yourself too! Hugs, Opal

Hi {{Opal~darlin}} thank you; Yes I hope its not spread to the other kidney too or other places; hopefully we will find out something more on Monday to go on; They never know for sure until they open you up, or get inside of you, the waiting and waiting is the hard part, the not-knowing you know? I've said for years that the reason they "say" there is no cure for colds, flu, and the worst Cancer is its a way for us(humans) to be weeded out, to die each year; Sound crazy maybe?? but think about it... we already are so over-populated where would they put us all?? They'd run out of money for sure just like they did this past year on sooooooo many things; tis damn scary!! {{hugs to you too}} and thank you for the prayer for my Aunt I know she'd appreciate that just as I do (G)!!

Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I know Cancer is never a Good word to hear for anyone, and know that is usually is a wake up call as well. I will be Praying for the Best in this situation, but it does sound like she has lived a long life so it is up to god and your aunt's faith and health from here. But remember God is in control, and the Best will happen here as well. Keep us updated when you know more.

HI Cynthiann: thank you dear friend; Yes I agree, life does become more sad as we all get older, several of my Mother's friends have been dying all this year, and every time another one passes I of course am reminded that my Mother lost her life all too young at 69 she would be the same age as my Father now which is 82 yrs. old had she still been alive; The 20th of this month marks 14 years since my one brother passed away and that is weighing heavy on all of us, my Grouchy Father, (myself) my two nieces Alan's daughter's I doubt highly if my older brother even realizes that the anniversary is upon us; He's such a stupid selfish uncaring jerk!!!

Hello dreamweaver. Just be strong and keep praying. My mother was diagnosed with liver cancer in December of 2007 and I have been taking care of her since. She is not taking in any chemotherapy, rather what I do is boost up her immune system with a lot of fruits and veggies. Orange juice and raw carrot juice is one of the staples in her daily regimen. I will pray for your aunt too. Just hang in there.

Oh, Jan, what a terrible thing. I want you to know that I'm praying for her. Tell her to keep positive thoughts. My mom had colon cancer years ago and survived, so, it is possible. Take care sweetie! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Been doing some research about cancer nutrition. And most results point me on the potentials and capability of various fruits to heal different kinds of cancer. There some elements in the fruits known as antioxidant which helps combat cancer cells. Every fruits possess it own traits on human health. Vegetables are also valuable in achieving a superior health. So vegetable and fruit diet is one vital way of treating cancer diseases. It really helps a lot.

I am truly sorry to hear about you Aunt! :( I have to agree with you that the "C word" does suck.. I hate it as well... I lost my father at the age of 12.. Of pancreatic cancer.. I have two younger siblings. My brother being the youngest, was 6 when my father passed away.. He didn't get to know him very well and unfortunately has no father figure.. He's been going through alot lately and I'm certain it's because of the loss of our father.. I met my boyfriend 3 years ago, and found out his father also had pancreatic cancer.. Unfortunately it came back.. He also passed away.. 2 years ago now.. I never understood how we can fly people to the moon and have them survive there.. And yet with all the money donated to cancer research they still haven't found a cure.. Again.. I hate Cancer...

hey really sorry for your aunt. kidney cancer or as in medics renal cell carcinoma has multifactorial causes-whih can be related to smoking, then theres a genetic defect known as von hippel lindau syndrome.it can be unilateral or bilateral. treatment modalities available these days(chemotherapy, radio+surgery)are now a days very successfull in treating it.just pray that its not in advanced stage and give her all the luv and support she needs at this point of her life.godspeed
