Last weekend I had to take the train to the city. It was kind of early, and I think my mind wasn't really wake up yet. The person next to me start conversation to me, and saying that she knows there are a lot in my mind. Duh ...I was still thinking about my pillow at home. And she start offer me to 'predict' my future. Darn, I hate that ! I rather not knowing how my future will be. Politely I refused that offer. Heck, i don't even believe all that astrolgy stuff. Did you ever bump to any person that suddenly tell you that they can predict your future? And is it okay for you if a stranger suddenly 'read' you like that?

ibuemma, it's okay with me...for fun! i will appreicate the effort of predicting my future and taking the time to assess me and my future just like that...but not to stress myself out especially if she stated negative events that might happen with me. it's only me who's responsible for my future with god's guidance and i will really give my best to reach my goal and make my future bright and meaningful! enjoy life!

I kinda share the same sentiment like you. It seems cool and fun. But of course this is just in the spirit of having fun and not seriously think of it.

Naaa.. I guess the person was just only wants to pay your attentions... Some peoples may try to take their best shot to deceiving or harming their target in some or any persuading ways... Just be more cautious if you meet someone like that again.. By the way... I don't like someone predict my future...

By the way, anybody claim can read the future...can they share the winning lottery number for tomorrow night?

Hmm, with that one though, I could say that those who claim that they could REALLY see your future on command are kind of fakes. The real ones cannot choose what they see, it just flashes to them and they're not in control. I mean, have you ever come across a psychic or fortune teller who's won every lottery game and has become a multi-millionaire? I guess not.

I have never had that happen to me but I would love it if it did. Only because I would be interested in hearing what they said. If they were way off base or not. It would be fun to hear what they had to say. I know years ago I had a reading and they said I would marry but it would be late in life. I'm now 52 and never gotten married but I don't plan on it either at this stage of my life.

do you think that reading still going to happen? I mean I know you said that you don't plan to get married, but is there any 'maybe' that can fulfill that reading?

No at this stage there really is no reason to get married. I love a certain man and he loves me thats all that matters for the both of us.

I have had a gentlemen tell me once that I was going to have a family event that would shock me..I just turned and looked at me in amazed. what he didnt know was that I was on my way to see a newborn that wasn't suspose to make it into this world. Im not sure if I believe or not. Sometimes I want and then there are times I don't want to know. I guess it is the bad that I don't want to know..You have a nice day

I haven't bumped into a situation as that before, nothing random actually but I've been with someone for quite a some time who was REALLY able to predict the future. At least not mine, but people she knew and didn't know. Most times, she just speaks of the event after it happens but there are a number of occasions when she speaks of them and they DO happen, right before my eyes. What's good about knowing the future is being able to choose your path and change the imminent course of events for the better. It's not meddling with or altering the grand plan that has been set before us but it's more of a glimpse of a single option, a single path that one may take. But things may change when faced with a fork on the road. We either take the one these clairvoyants see or we choose our own destiny. The off side with knowing the future is that it doesn't give much thrill to life where we walk blindly not knowing what would happen.

Exactly, take out the fun out of life if you already know, just like you go to the movie, and you can predict the end, there you go, no more fun !

Yup yup, no fun indeed. But I think it could also be fun to know the future and see if we could really change it, and then the really fun part would be not knowing the consequences of us changing the future and what alternate future is waiting for us. Heh heh, I guess it's a double edged sword.

In my opinion.... If you are someone who can "read" people or situations, there may be times you cannot just "shut it off." However, part of being a clairvoyant or medium is learning how to do so. Furthermore, you must, must, must be in tune with your inner voice - for it will guide you when to speak and when not to speak about what you know. In this case - it was very polite of the person to ask for your permission to tell you what she "knew." What would have been completely out of line - and it's hard to know what is true in this part - is if she purposefully put herself in a place to take a reading on you and then tried to "push" in onto you. There are both kinds of psychic individuals out there - those who are genuine and use their gift to bring positive energy into someone's life; and those who are out for an ego boost and/or to gain monetary reward. No, I've never had anyone randomly offer this to me. And I did once hear a medical intuitive say that it's NEVER ok to read someone without their permission. You are stepping into someone else's energy field, and must have respect when doing so. I guess if someone offered to "read" me and tell me what they got, I would do an internal check with myself and see how this person "felt" to me. Sounds like for you, whatever was happening didn't feel right. So you made a good choice for yourself in not taking on whatever it was they were trying to give you.

yup, that time I felt so sleepy, and I wish I still sleeping. Maybe there are people that can really read the future or has some special sight/ sense. But personally I don not like when somebody try to predict what's going on in my future. I rather not know...haha...life supposed to be full of surprise.

LOL - yes, I loved your line in the initial post: "DUH, I was thinking about my pillow at home!" I did in fact, LAUGH OUT LOUD at that one. Probably didn't take any intuition or amount of "reading" to figure that one out, lol.

First of all its basically a scam. No one can tell the future. These people use certain methods and make predictions that sometimes come true mostly by coincidence. Its an easy way to make money because people always like to know what is going to happen to them.

This is a question quite often puzzling me. On the one hand, I would very much like to hear positive prediction for the future of my family members, but I fear hearing the opposite, so I never go to the fortune tellers. On streets here, esp. near the scenic spots, those people will follow you, telling you all nice words about what they read from your facial indications, I just hurry away, repeating thanks to them. I do believe in physical implications, but I would rather leave them unknown, so that I have faith to try for the best.

i never believe in that. I had an experice like that before i was in a Russian open market, one gypsy woman came to me and said she can know my furtune. she said i should give her $1 note and she can find my future from the note. I gave her one note and she said something to me without stop. later my note disappered under my eyes. She just cheated my money and said a lod of rubbish. i also have a few friends they are interested in telling your futune. To me they even don't know how to deal with their future, how can they expect us to believe in them. my conclusion is leave them away and hold your future in your own hand.

I think that it is kinda cool to have someone predict your future. I am interested but I have not gone to one yet. This could serve as a reminder and we should not base our life solely on it.

There was this sadharji who came by my department many years ago. He stopped by my office. He knocked onm y door and asked to come in. Then, having seated himself o n my visitor's chair, he said something was troubling me.He said there was something on my mind and he had the solution. He then told me he was a seer with prophetic powers. He started to read my palms as well. Shockingly, most of what he said was true. I began to get confused. Finally, I knew this could be a mind reader. True enough, he wanted lots of money for his service and would continue to give me good prediction and prayers as well. I quickly got him out of the office with a few dollars. Thank God, otherwise I would be con big time.

Lol I never knew that gypsy's tried to guess your future in a train. Well my parents mom anyway strongly believes in people predicting the future. Most of the times she asks for my future to be told which is totally creepy because what if he ends up saying he'll be killed in a car crash. Its a bit extreme I know but its been very harsh on me. My mom basically eats everything the guy dishes and it directly affects me. Once a self proclaimed psychic told my mom that i'll have trouble if I was ever allowed to drive. I couldn't convince my mom enough to get a license after that. However I did finally get it but now I'm 20 -.- and this was 4 years ago.

This is not true since only God can predict our future no one else, if there is someone who can predict he/she must be crazy or just pretending so that he can make money from you, dont believe in this kind of things this are not true it will just confuse you, btw we make our own future so no one can predict it except God, try to view where you are 20 or 10 years from now:)

of course i don't like any one predicting my future. cause i don't believe any one can predict my future nor my decision in the future. cause it is like predestination if i believe that they will know what i will decide to do in the future so they can know what will happen on my future.

Two days ago, I had on my way to my home town after my official trip. I was travelling in train. At point of time, a group of people boarded the train in one station. There were wearng the mask and big kumkum. I thought they are going to sing a song and collect the money. Then i realise that they were astrologers predicting our future. I did not accept it, as i was not beliving the superstiious. then a man came near to me and starting saying my future after seeing my face. It was something new to me. He was explainning about the good and bad about my future. predictions may go wrong. I kept quite since he was in interest to say about my future. I like somebody who can guinuinely look the important aspects of our lives.

I have to say that some fortune tellers are good at observation and speech, but I don't like them to predict my future because the prediction may have effect on my mind or behavior in some way. I hope tomorrow would be a surprise:)

My mom is weekly going to her trusted fortune teller to learn what would happen next. Sometimes it's annoying but there are times it serves as a warning. There is nothing wrong in believing in them because it is really you who is in command of your life. Your the one making decisions in your life and if you let your life be lead by predictions then what was foretold would surely happen.

I don't want predictions and I do believe that what is really constant in this world is changes so predictions is only a false start for you that you dont need to find out..Just go on with your life and do whatever it takes you to be..
