The fallout of Obamacare started last November

In anticipation of the Obama health care changes, the insurance companies started raising premiums to try to survive whatever he was going to do. This started for me, at least, last November in anticipation of Obama winning when they raised my premium by 20% and then continued in April when it was raised an additional 25%. I don't know if they have raised their premiums any more since then because at that point I could no longer afford it and had to drop my healthcare insurance, first time since I left home that I have not had any. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi stealthy...My husband and I are both disabled due to health issues. I am so scared what is going to happen to the medicare program, especially since my husband is a heart transplant patient. I was working and had very good insurance when he had the initial transplant that I paid big bucks to have. I was glad I had hung in there paying those preminums or I know my husband wouldn't have gotten the good care that he received. Now my concern is how his treatment will be in the future should he have complications down the road. I hope Obama takes into consideration that he has alot of retired and disabled people out there and should judge his prices according. flutterby
