I find that i smoke alot more if i am angry or when i go out with friends. If i stay up late on the pc as long as i am busy i tend to smoke alot less.Do you find you smoke more sometimes rather than other times. Are you a social smoker like when you go out rather than all the time at home as well.I did once try to give up but with no luck as i only stopped for 6 weeks.

No, I'm happy to say that I don't smoke. I never took up this nasty habit.
Well, at least you gave it a shot. If you ever try to quit again maybe you'll have better luck next time.
Good luck and happy mylotting!

I do smoke and have for 16, almost 17 years now. I have tried a couple of times to quit, and each time, I gave in and started back up. I find that when I am upset, nervous, or just plain bored, I smoke more. Two years ago, when we moverd into the house we now live in, my husband and I set a strict, no smoking in the house rule that we really have adhered to. This has helped us cut back alot, especially in the colder months, but we do still smoke.

No, I do not smoke it is not good for your health. I will admit that many years ago when I was in my early 20 I did smoke for a couple of month. I got sick just a cold but after feeling better I just decided to quit before it was to late.

Hi Jugs...No I do not smoke any longer. My husband and I both quit 4 years ago.
I had smoked sincee I was a teenager, except when I was pregnant for my children. It seems when I was pregnant I did not need the nicotine. The only thing I regret is starting again after I had my first child.
I never smoked in the house because I did not want my childrens breathing in the second hand smoke.
My husband and I quit when we heard that grandchildren were on the way becasue we did not want to put them in harms way when they came to visit. We both quit cold turkey and it was the best thing we could have ever done.

I never tried smoking. I never really felt the urge to and the need to do so. I have friends who i know smoke but they are not showing it in public, I really don't know if they're ashamed or what. I'm glad they weren't the type who would pressure their friends into trying to smoke. But sadly, I wans't able to influence them as well to quit smoking. They would smoke discretly so I was thinking I might be meddling with their business too much if I talk them out of smoking. Though they're my friends, it's their own life so I just let them be.

I'm a smoker. For the whole day maybe half pack or less. I do really take more sticks especially when I'm on a stressful work. Need to finished this, need to submit that. I don't know what's with it. Sometimes I feel more refreshed when I smoke over a very stressful work although knowing it really harms the body. There are also times when I'm Hungry and I have nothing to eat especially late night, that's the time to get 1 stick and puff. It somewhat lessens my cravings. I tried to stop but the addictive flavor still temps me. Help me. Can anybody tell me how to stop and what kind of solution do I need. Somebody told me that "It's better you have not tried Smoking than Stop Smoking". True I may say.

I smoke and have since I was about 17 years old. I am 32 now. I have tried and tried to quit many times but never can seem to get over the bad nasty habit. I smoke more when I am stressed or upset about sometime. I also smoke a lot when I go out to have drinks with family and friends. If I am sitting around at home on the computer, I smoke. I have gotten worse with my smoking. I smoke less than a pack a day, but still smoking is smoking. I have a very addictive behavior though, so I have to really watch it before it gets any worse. I think the longest I have quit smoking for is probably around 2 months. Maybe someday I will quit this nasty habit!

I have been smoking for many years and I usually smoke more when I am stressed about something; angry or when I socialise and have a drink. Sometimes at the office I usually join my secretary for a smoke which she does quite often. Not a good idea at all, I know as I am sometimes not even in the mood. I honestly want to smoke and I have Allan Cars book which I believe will make a difference. Sitting here in front of the pc I have not smoked for the past two hours. So yes, sitting here actually helps.

No.
Never have, never will as it was a pain enough to have to put up with my father for many long years, sometimes smoking a pack a day and me eating with the second hand smoke. It was enough to tell me that I had no interest in smoking and I stayed way well away from it.

Iam a smoker. A constant one. I smoke as I want it. Its hard to deprive my self of nicotine that will always be alluring me to smoke more. And if I try to stop it seems that my mind is out of focus. And then when I puff again happiness comes to my veins. It would take long time for me to quit smoking. But to those who haven't started smoking dont try it. It is addictive.

I've smoked heavily since I was 19. I am 40 now and the effects on my skin really do show, it is so dry and I look a bit pasty. Also I wake up to coughing every morning which the girl in the downstairs flat has commented on!
If you are young, please stop now.
I smoke loads if I am out with friends having a drink, and unlike you, I am terrible for smoking non-stop at my computer. I go out for country walks every day so I try and do healthy things aswell.
I would like to beat this horrible habit. It would be nice to put perfume on in the morning and still smell of perfume, instead of ciggies, by lunchtime!

I dont smoke, but I know it is hard for heavy smokers to give it up.I have a friend who is a chain smoker.I have asked him to stop smoke a lot of times, and he tried but he failed. Finally,he decide to not smoke in front of me.I appreciate his action. But it is not important to me,what I really care about is his health.
