I just do not understand the basics of algebra i cannot grasp it. I cannot work out the simplest of equations. its one of the only things in maths that i dont under satnd at all its just so hard and i dont see how it is going to be of use inthe future. please help!!!!!!!

oh! its easy..algebra is used to find for unidentified value.
ex.think that you have $1000.I bought goods $250.howmuch the balance I have?
so balance I dont know.so,I use a letter called un known variable.here we say "B" for balance
so..we can formulate a equation for this;
$1000-$250=B
$750 =B
the balance is $750. this is the basis for algebra.we can develop this to find out more complicative cases.
