Hi everyone. I love soccer but to be honest with you its my husband that keeps up with most of the leagues (him having a bit more free time than me when it comes to that).. but yesterday I was able to watch the game of Real Madrid against FC Zurich at their stadium.
I found the game to be quite interesting. I think that its been a long time since Ive seen Real Madrid play as they did, and actually look like a unified team, techniques working much better as well.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice and showed his great ability once again as well... I found their win to be well deserved.
What was your opinion of the game if you watched it? Do you think it should have been better or just fine as it is?

defence wise they still look shaky, although having Pepe available for the champions league is a good thing.
Real are always going to score but against marseilles and milan they will have a lot more defending to do.

It must be hard for Casillas, for a decade he has single handedly stopped teams scoring against Real, and yet year after year he gets no assistance. Think of all the millions spent on midfield and attack and only a couple of million on a new defender.

Didnt think of it that way... your right on that one. Doesnt he have already like someone that can replace or someone that could help out... In my country they call him the Super Hero, but maybe people forget he's still a human being and can make mistakes.

the true test for this real madrid side in champions league comes when they face off with the premier league teams or when they meet barcelona or inter milan .
true character of a team can be found out only when they are under extreme pressure .
and to tell the truth , zurich comes no way near real in terms of class of play .
lets see weather real can maintain their tempo in other matches as well .

real madrid in the moment he face a defence team we will see the same thing we see always in the last 6 years, rival shots 10 times and super casillas always save the day, they shot 1 time and goal.
respect the match of yesterday... how awful was the keeper of zurich, but i think that AC milan will get down of the clouds and take them to the reality

Hmm I feel that Milan is at their worse moment and so far Madrid has proven so far a lot en their last 4 games, Milan I think hasnt played the Champion's league sinc e last year and at the italian league (calcio) Milan has yet proven itself even between the classic like Inter against Milan about 2 weekends ago.
Inter dragged Milan for more than 4 scores. I believe that Inter had equal 0 to 0 socre against Barcelona yesterday, so Im not sure about Milan that much.

I don't want to under-rate the Swiss League, but FC Zurich is never a worthy opponent to be used to measure the performance of a star-studded team like Real Madrid. To be candid, conceding two goals against a team like FC Zurich is an "indictment" on Real Madrid. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED.
I'll only take the Madrid giants serious if they can win matches against worthy opponents. For now, I have my doubt as to whether the team can reclaim the UEFA Champions League trophy.

FC Zurich I believe with the other team that they faced off yesterday were a second division team, eventhough it may not be much of a challange you can never keep your guard down, their have been "miracles" that can happen.
So far Real Madrid is on the lead... this Wednesday they go against Villareal, should be interesting now that its beginning to get more difficult.
So far, their against 3, League is still starting, so we shall have to wait and see.
