I have put up many discussions here but never got enough responses while nearly same discussions by others get much more responses. is it because i am not as active as others . Is it something like you respond to my discussions and i would respond to your discussions here?

Hello Sweetie,
Long time no see or chat with, I've been here at this site for almost eight months now and the way it works is that first you respond to discussions that seem to grab your attention and you must write then a nice long comment, then once they begin to get used to seeing you around here everyone will begin to respond back to your discussions, so in answer to your question, I tend to believe that yes, it's more or less a tick for tack system. Do you remember the childhood game of tick tack toe. One person will put down a x and then another put down an "o" and everybody try to get a straight pattern going either across or diagonally. Well this works much the same way. Just try to be nice to friends, add new friends and respond to their discussion and they will respond back to yours. Anyhow it's nice seeing you again. Take care of yourself and we'll chat again soon. Be sure and send me an email when you can so that we can do some other updates. Or a pm would be just fine. Thanks girlfriend, you have a nice day.. Hope all is going well for you and yours!........ Peace out, CC!

Hello there, asweetie! Well, you can receive more responses when you post comments on all the responses you received. Users who respond to such topics will remember the discussion starter and they will respond again to further discussions that will be posted because they want to interact. It makes the discussion interesting and it can receive more responses when interaction exists with the topic. It can also help to earn more because we can also earn by posting comments but short posts will not get paid. Have a nice day!

hi boogerman,
Thanks for the response and i usually try to give the response back but if you see the other discussion i started by me asking fellow mylotters about the status of value bux and all only gave asked me to join their programme and one even asked me why i use this pic.. now how do i respond to these responses. Sometimes people post totally unrelated responses to the discussions , it is nearly impossible to post response to those.

I also want to say thanks because you did it. It made may stick on this topic and it helps to earn more rather than leaving one response on each discussion. If many users practice the nice way of discussing a certain topic, no discussions will get no response, maybe. Well, you can meet more users who do that and they got a lot of responses from their discussions.

Make an effort to land here regularly for at least an hour a day to make your presence felt. There is no hard and fast rule on how to get good response other than you make an extra effort to response to as many discussions as you can reach out. By so doing you will have created goodwill among many members here and they will in turn reciprocate to your discussions. Since you are quite new here, choose interest that is more likely favored by the majority here. That will have a longer staying power on the top board and this will get your discussions more exposed and likely get the attention of others. Another thing is be tricky on the titles. You have to be creative and catchy with your titles to invoke curiosity on a tired minds of those who have been mylotting for hours. A one word title does not trigger the curiosity of the readers. The title of this post is quite catchy which instantly draw my attention when I go hopping around. Wish you all the best and happy mylotting.

Just had a quick check on my profile and the list has soared up to 736 with the latest additions. Each time I post new discussions I will get a handful of new request coming in. You are right I have not done a revamp on my list for ages and many of them are no longer active. That could be the reasons behind the dismal performance of my friends list. Anywhere, that is the advantage of regular posting of discussions as we get noticed and get continuous request for friendships.

Hi Zandi,
Thank you for the response and you do have a real nice advise. I am going to do one thing which a friend of mine advised me long time back and that is to try to return favour by replying to one post of ther person who responses to your discussion..how old it may be. So i am going to do this from today and add the person who respond to the discussion started by me.

Another thing is that if there is alot of responses and these have a variation of quality, it really depends on the subject of the discussion. If you have choosen a good subject which most people can relate too, but yet havent been "outdebated" then you will also most likely recieve more quality answers.

That is certainly an interesting information you found there, and it appears I didnt read it compeltly then. I do though also believe those who are active possibly have a large friendlist to whom they respond often.

Im certainly one of the users who prefeers that the topicstarter repond to my comments on the discussion, I believe it is polite to do considering that the commenter actually spend time reading through the discussion and after that made an effort to post a quality post to the topic.
This though doesnt mean that active members get more responses, unless you mean active in they participate more in discussions they have created to get a dialog up running in regarding to the subject, if that is what you consider active then you have my answer right above.

Discussions in the money interests are a huge responsability and it is not easy to turn them into quality discussions. Sadly most of the users there are new and only interested in gaining referrals. It is probably best to skip those responses and concentrate on others which will give you more satisfaction.

hi downwindz,
Thanks for the response and i usually respond to the responses i get. May be not when i was totally new here and by active members i mean who those participate in many discussions daily or regularly. About responding to responses well i only couple of mins ago started another discussion about if valuebux is scam and all the 5 responses i got , 4 wanted to join under them undersome prog or another and one asked me why i use this pic.. now how do i respond to these responses.

Downwindz, you got the point! As a discussion starter, it is also a responsibility to read and to post comments on the responses received. Active members get more responses only when they keep their discussions active by replying to the responses they got. It attracts more users to respond when they see the discussion has lots of comments by the discussion starter and other members, means that there is interaction in the topic.
Nice one, mysd! Well, discussions under money interests can be considered quality content when the topic is just discussing about a site, and not by posting a link or any abusive content. You are right, just focus on the interesting ones as those of low quality or abusive ones will get deleted.

Hi asweetie,
Welcome to mylot discussiont. I hope it is not like that... If any one interest or eager to make comment on your disccussion then you surely get the response as much.
It is not depend on active participation or as you said.

Hello there, satyabs15! Well, having an interesting subject, a catchy topic, and also on the part of the discussion starter to post comments on responses received to make the discussion active are the factors how a discussion gets more responses. When the discussion starteq was temporarily inactive, he/she can still keep the discussion active just by posting. There are users who still appreciate even late comments. We just consider that all of us have different things to do aside from getting online and that was the reason why a user is inactive and it is better to post it later than to ignore the responses at all.

I think a big factor in getting a lot of responses is the number of ACTIVE FRIENDS you have here. Most people look for discussions in "friends started" and respond to their friends' discussions before going elsewhere.

To be honest i don't think so.There are many factors that contrbutes to your earnings-
1.The nature of discussions
2.Quantity of the discussions
3.Quality of the discussion
The biggest of all Tagging!

Hi asweetie... but of course!
It is only a logical - and correct - conclusion that active members receive more response for their discussions here at myLot.
Normally people will be more inclined to respond to someone if that person is known to him or her in a positive way. That is not to say that if someone is "unknown", then he or she will be ignored. Rather, let's put it this way: If a suitable topic is chanced upon, myLotters will usually respond regardless who the poster is.
But otherwise, surely you tend to give priority to your friends - in real life too.
So if you are concerned about getting responses, I urge you to be more active in making friends and by engaging them in their discussions as well. While you want others to reply to your discussions, surely others want their discussions to be responded to as well.

Hi Lordwarwizard,
Thanks for the response and yes i understand now how things work and for a change and a start i am going to go by the advise of the guy who did bring me here on my lot and he told me that always try to if you can respond to one discussion of the person who has responded to your discussion. This makes them feel yes their response is appreciated and i get more pennies here. Now after this discussion i realise the value of his words. Thanks lord for a nice advise.

asweetie when I had just about the sAme number of points as you '
have I felt like the older more active members got all the goodies but a kind lady told me to keep responding so you get your name known and then when people see your name a lot, they willsay oh sweetie made a great discussion I must respond to her, and thats the way it goes sojust be confident you are doing great, make a few more responses so we all see your name and we will start hunting out your discussions.

Hi sweetie,
Yes your observation is 100% correct but did you ever stop and analyze why this happens. When you respond to other person discussion many feel obliged to respond to your discussion. Also the other person may be treating discussions started by him better than you simply by responding to all the response he gets and responding them politely and also as i told you before too that if someone responds to your discussion then you should make it a point to respond to his or her discussion which you can reply just to show appreciation for him responding to your discussion. and if he replies back to ur response on his response then make sure you do thank again for his second response. Had you given head to all this which i have told you before too then you would definitely get more replies or as mylot says responses to your discussion and last but not the least dont forget to choose a best response. Treat the person with same respect who respond to your discussions as you would like to be respected by person whose discussion you respond to.
