Hi chaitra since you are in bangalore, You will be knowing Kaasi soppu (Solanum Nigrum) the picture of which you will find in the internet. Pattarchur and tulasi juice, Lucky soppu juice is also good for stones which we have in our garden. I do not know where you live in Bangalore. If it is somewhere near my house, I can provide you including banana stem

You are welcome anytime. Every thursday at 1.30pm in TV9, Dr. Santhoshji will give solutions for day to day health problems. He is an Ayurvedic Doctor. Today he mentioned certain herbs which are easily available in the market. Burn them and the ashes should be mixed with tender coconut water and consumed for 2 weeks. One more thing he said, take the hair like portion in the corn cob, make a concoction out of it by boiling with 1 glass of water and drink for 22 days. If your husband is cured in this way without surgery, then it is good. If it did not work, then also we need not worry, because it wont do harm. The same programme will be retelecasted today evening again at 5.30 pm(16.9.09). Bye. Have a nice day

increasing the acidity of the body by drinking and eating more acidic foods like cranberry juice - I happen to hate the stuff, but there must be other ways to do it

it is sort of a cold climate thing, but I'm sure you can find something else with lots of acid in it - pineapple or something (don't like pineapple either)

Hi! I suppose stones could be troublesome. You could try alternate therapy like Homeopathy, you may find some remedies in this pathy. Also a liquid medicine called 'Mother tincture' if taken could get rid of stones. One of my colleagues tried it and he got success.

Hi Chaitra, I am really sorry to learn that your hubby was in hospital. How is he now? Please you don’t worry, most kidney stones can pass through the urinary system with plenty of water to help move the stone along. I think he can stay home for sometime and drinking more fluids. Adding fresh lemon juice to the distilled water he is drinking is a great way to naturally break down kidney stones. I have heard that Radish is good for kidney stone. Grinding radishes, straining its juice and leaving it overnight and finally consuming it in the morning can be beneficial. The juice of radish helps in soothing the digestive. I don't know radish is available in your place now; eating in raw form is also good (like salad). Wish him a speedy recovery. Take good care of him, give him plenty of water.

Happy to know the he relieved from the pain. I have heard that citric acid is good for kidney stone anyway his doctor is better to know about his problem so please follow his instructions. Don’t think about the surgery now. I hope he will be alright by medicine and proper care.

My husband has periodic bouts with kidney stones. His doctor told him that there is no particular diet that will him. He said to drink lots of liquids and take a pain pill if necessary when passing a stone. If the stone gets stuck, then, he has to back to ER.

I haven't heard of any natural ways to remove kidney stones, hopefully the medicines will take care of it, if not he could under go surgery to remove the stones. My mother-in-law had had kidney stones years back. She tried the medicines but the kidneys are too many to be dissolved by the medicines and so she under go surgey in order for the stones to be removed. She's all well now. She recovered pretty fast and that it wasn't a dangerous surgery.

Stones in the kidney can be removed by the pulsating hammer blows on the side and back. The stones will break and passed out in the urine. I do not know of any chemical that can dissolve the stones. Natural remedies are also suspect, currently. anyway, it would be good to go onto the internet and read some literature on kidney stones and its medical removal.
