I am planning to buy a collection of dvd movies. as i don't like the things that i watch on tv every day. and i get fed up with all the same dramas and soap and i don't like the movies i see on HBO and i don't like to wait for the movie to be shown on particular date. and so i made up my mind to buy some few action/adventure stories. i have some collection but i don't like it i hope to find some good movies to buy that i will enjoy to watch.

yes definitely for busy people who missed a good movie, just buying it would be a good alternative to see it.

We buy dvd/blu ray movies very often! Our house could be a video store. Lol. It all depends on your likes and dislikes... What are you into?

Well... The movie Contract Killer is pretty good! It has stunts that you might like! If you like action and suspense you should see the movie Taken! I have not heard not one bad comment on that movie!

Hello hotsummer. I used to have bought quite a few DVD movies and my good friends have also given me a lot of them when they leave the working place where we worked together. Now I don't buy them any more as I can watch movies on the Internet for free, which is a cheap way for us. But I do not often watch them, just once in a while when I don't want to do anything else. Enjoy yourself, friend.

also if you re downloading for free they will put a lot of timer so that you will want to upgrade for premium membership. and also you will not have limit of what you can download for being paid member. also i was pissed off downloading being a free member. i was downloading one time on one site but because of timer i fell to sleep while waiting while for the timer to reach 0. after that i have been back on downloading. and also i don't know what happened to what i downloaded successfully and how i can watch in on my computer. i have no idea. do i need other program to watch what i have downloaded online.

now that it hanged when downloading a lot, maybe u can download little by little. the speed is not only related to the computer, maybe but also to the internet speed, i think.

i don't buy dvd movies often. although there are a lot of it displayed in the sidewalks (pirated) and u have the chance to try it on their players, we don't buy them often or on a regular basis. it is only when we hear some good movies are shown and we opt to see it at a cheaper price with most of us watching it at the same time that i go and look for that particular movie. just last week (after a very long time), my daughter bought several seasons of a particular tv series. they were of good copy. i am fond of action/adventure movies too. it does not lull me to sleep while watching

I bought about 20 DVD's a few years ago. They served their purpose. I watched them a few times and that was it. In this day and age where you can stream movies online I do not think it is necessary to purchase DVD's. Instead sign up for netflix...it is much better.

my internet connection is not that fast. that is why i don't often watch them for free online. maybe i would have to consider upgrading to faster internet speed.

I do not buy DVDs often. Maybe, once every few months. Mostly, I just rent movies through Netflix. I love being able to see a variety of movies and not having to buy the DVDs. I especially like renting old television show series, as those can be quite expensive to purchase.

Personally I am more protected if I make purchases with my debit card than with PayPal. It is also way easier to deal with my bank for charge disputes than with PayPal and it is a much quicker and often also more satisfying process.

I buy once in awhile, and especially when the urge arises. I think that DVD movies are something that we can't do without from time to time, and it's a great renaissance from the movies we've watched in cinemas. Watching dvd has its special treatment and I totally love it.

That's not bad, really. I used to buy 1-2 each month; depending on my budget. The numbers grow fast though, trust me, lol..

yeah i remember i had collection of movies also before. but it was not dvd. i think it was called vcd. but those were not clear copies and they were mostly pirated movies. ha ha. i had only few original movies. but i am planning to buy original ones cause i think that we should really support buying original ones. so i am still saving cause buying original are pricey.

yes i think it is the urge to watch it again that creates in us the desire to have a colllection of those movies. but i don't have much money it will take a long time for me to have good number of dvd's in my collection. so my own collection i have only two i think. ha ha. but i am planning to buy soon but i am just trying to figure out what to buy .

but not all video we see in youtube are clear and they are not complete version. they are divided into many small video and so it is quite hassle to watch them in youtube. and sometimes my slow internet connection will make me wait such a long time before i get to watch the video on youtube.

yes, there is always a sale of dvd's but this doesn't mean the movie is not good, right? i mean if the original movie was released on a holiday pretty sure many may have watched it already and there is no more use of buying these copies. also, if it leaked in youtube then it is surely disaster for the dvd version of a particular movie. but rest assured because big movie companies have a hold on this since blockbuster movies and current blockbusters are nowhere existing in youtube. sometimes we see a message saying that there was a violation in uploadig it.

i buy dvds if the movie i want to watch is not available online, i watched most movies online for free, i buy dvds --- series ones, complete season of a drama or anime or cartoons... the latest i bought was DEATHNOTE complete season... its available online but sometimes it buffers... but mostly some series and animes, i watched them online!!!

yeah i hate those buffering. there is one site before i that i can watch the whole movie for free without much hassle though buffering is still there. i just forgot the name of the website. i was not able to bookmark it. where do you watch for free. all i use is youtube as of the moment which is not really a good place to watch movies. i don't like to download i just want to watch it online.

I don't buy them very often anymore unless it's a movie I really like and want to add to my collection. I have a Netflix account and it's so easy to get any movie I want to watch in a matter of a couple of days, I just don't spend the money to buy them. If it is one I really want though, I wait a while for the price to come down. They're always expensive right after they are released, but if you wait a few months, you can save 50% or more.

I used to buy a lot of DVD movies, and then I realized that I'm really wasting my money. If I wanted to watch a movie nowadays, I'll rent it for a $1 for the local REDBOX, or join one of those movie clubs online where they will ship the movie to your house for you. I used to be a member of Netflix, but I discontinued my membership there as I had gotten really tired of them not having the movie that I wanted in stock, causing me to wait even longer. So now I will just rent movies from the local REDBOX rental kiyosk at Walmart or Walgreens.

yeah even in my local rental store of videos there are very few good movies for rent that is why i don't go back there. most of the time to find your movie of choice you have to buy one and not just rent here. and so rental kiosk here are not doing very well.

My husband 10 years ago decided he wanted to do the same thing with VHS Tapes. Remember them. So his little adventure started and kept on growing until he had over 500 hundred, yes 500 hundred of them. Now they are dinasours and He tried to sell them for which he got a meager 5 cents a pieces for them. Collect as you wish but be advise technology continues to grow and as such you should only keep them for 6 months and then try and sell them on ebay to get your money back. Because to you what might be a collectors item may not be for others.
