Does your country have a bright future?

As for my own country, which happens to be the Netherlands, I have my doubts. We are in a debt exceeding 340 billion euros, which is about 500 billion dollars. As a reaction to this debt politicians insist on a severe expenditure cut down of billions and billions a year while the global and national economy is utmost brittle. Instead of taking some decisive measures they are going to cut down the social security for those who are chronically ill. I can't wait until they'll hit the streets so that they'll finally understand that what they are doing is ridiculous. How can you let the 'weakest' people in the society carry the most weight? Not only do they cut costs on the weakest people but first they are going to start some commissions who must research how our country has to become more social, more efficient and cheaper. Is it just me or are those politicians just an inept bunch of rats??? What is the future of your country?

Someone from the Netherlands! Haha (Hallo, ik kom uit Belgiƫ, leuk iemand te kennen die Nederlands spreekt)! In Belgium we absolutely suck at politics, but our wealth has stayed the same during recession. The government has spend billions of euro's in our banks, and we have recovered.

Belgium is doing way better in politics despite of the divided politics and the resigned cabinet.

i think my country will definitely going to have a bright future. but my worry is how old will i be before my country get to be a country that i dream of or envision it to be .our development is quite slow as snail. it does getting better at a very slow phase that we could hardly feel though we can see somethings. and time or life is short. if development happen several decade. my gosh, it may take 5 decade to be a first country i am dreaming my country. and if my country will become a progressive nation soon, will that affect me personally. will that improvement of my country means an easier life for me. i don't feel that easy life yet. nothing seems to be easy in my life. there are so many people who are poor. and most of all i don't think even if i get a better life that i going to have a happy life yet. cause i don't believe material things make a person happy. i want something that will give happiness in life and not just monetary blessings.

i'm from the philippines and i'm sorry for my country. bleak future is always looming here for us because of the rampant graft and corruption in government, patronage politics and exploitation of the poor done by politicians and the wealthy.
