can you listen to music when you work?

Hey, Well I have actually tried to listen to music while I worked, but for some reason I couldn't do it while I replied to discussions on myLot. I just don't know why, maybe because I can't multi-task at the same time probably. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hi ya dolmitta Well I don't work in an office or anything but I do what I call work on my computer on a daily basis and I have always got the radio on at the same time so I am listening to music at the same time as working. The radio is on all the time and when it is time to turn the radio off the tv goes on!

I can enjoy music while work, but I usually don't do it because I am not very fond of music. Also, if I am working very busy, I don't prefer to listen to music because we tend to make mistakes when we work very busy. So, I would like to give my full attention to the work, but otherwise I can listen to music and work parallely. I used to listen to music while working out Math problems when I was as sutudent. My Mom always used to wonder how I could do that and she thought that I was cheating her by acting as if I was studying. I can't listen to music when I am trying to by heart something. I do listen to music while at work provided that the work is not serious & I'm just doing time pass along with wok. But if you really want to concentrate on your work or if you are doing something serious, then it is not practically possible for many people to listen to music. Happy Lotting

I find that listening to music while I'm working usually makes me work harder. Instead of focusing on a boring task, I can enjoy doing it while listening to the music. If I am doing something really serious, though, it is usually better to not have music on. Do you listen to music while you work? Why or why not?

if it is physical work like cleaning up my room, then i would love music. But if i am doing so fund reconciliations, oops.. music off please. I find it hard to concentrate. I brought a classical CD to office to help me think, it doesnt seem to work because i keep on imagining that i was the conductor of the orchestra.

Yes. I don't have any problems with that. I can always listen to music regardless of what I am doing. Even when studying I also prefer to have a background music.
