You finally get that time to sit in front of the tv, you get the remote, you turn on the tv and the first channel you turn on is......??? Thank goodness the cable companies offers so many channels....this way there is something out there for everyone to watch something...right?? --whats really bad is when you go through a hundred channels and there is nothing on!! I started a discussion regarding the Food Network, and how I recently became addicted to DIY network, so I got the idea to ask what channels do you watch??

The last one I just turned off it before. No further research. Now it's raining outside,I do want to stay at home and watch TV? It's not interesting to watch tele alone,I think we should get our tele out or make its screen face to the window outside, then tuned to a channel that you like and show it off to the public, that's really amazing, isn't it? Tele is not only used to be a box being watched but also some stuff that we can use it in any way

I feel you. There are times when I turn on the television and no matter how many channels you have there it seems that there isn't anything you could choose from! lol. You may find this funny and weird but the first channel I go to when I open the Tv is the disney channel! :)))))) Okay okay, pretty childish I know! lol! After, I look at HBO and star movies, then those local channels we have here in our country.

I have Directv and the first channel I turn to is the Noggin channel for my kids. They love cartoons and the best thing about Noggin channel it is like preschool on t.v. and they are learning. But, when I get a chance to watch t.v. I first turn to B.E.T, HBO, Starz, Showtime, Cinemax, and any other channels that have something on that is interesting. I really love watch my soap opera, like "The Young and The Restless", "Bold and The Beautiful", and "As The World Turns".

yep, funny how the kids come first..but at least they do have stations now where the cartoons are learning cartoons instead of just entertainment for the kids. thanks for the response and have a great night!

we do have cable and have a package that allows us to watch a few specialty channels. i guess (as odd as it sounds) i flip on the shopping channel first, then the weather channel, then the history channel (at any given time just to see whats on) then usually the local pbs station, then our local tv station (as they have news all day).

That sounds like a good routine of checking out what all is on and not missing anything.... I laugh now that the tv gets turned on by my son and it is on cartoon network already... but at night, hubby gets most of the shows he likes... survivor shows, or the weather channel... --thats ok, one day I will have my own tv and wont let anyone watch it!! thanks for the response and have a great night!

We have a choice of marking our favourite 20 channels so whenever I put on the television I check out these channels first. They are mostly the news channels and some of my favourite soap channels.

When I turn on the TV, the first channel I'll take a look is the ABS-CBN that's the local channel I used to watched. If there's no good show to watch that's the time I'll turn to cable channel like HBO, Disney Channel, or in Discovery Channel. I love watching TV. Most of the spare time I used to watch TV only at home or take a nap. I also have many DVD's collection like comedy, horror and suspends.

The first channel that switch on is MTV as it really refreshes me after listening to songs, if there is nothing then I will only surf music channels to relieve myself of the stress that i had throughout the day in office

when I worked in the office and would be majorly stressed out, I listened to my music on the way home and loud too!! it was a major stress reliever and I had a long way home... so by time I got home I was good for dinner, and then our sitcoms we use to watch at that time! thanks for the response and have a great night!

I turn it on SIC Radical. Which is a portuguese channel directed at a younger audience. I have this show that I watch everyday religiously always at the same time and gets my humour really rising, so this is the reason why.

its great that you have a show that you still watch everyday like that, and that you can!! I cant get into anything really since my kids get the tv, but there are a few shows that I put on the dvr and when I get around getting the tv after they go to bed.. of course lately I have been trying to get in computer time, so my tv time is lacking!! thanks for the response and have a great night!

Well, I have over a hundred channels and I'm definitely a telly addict! The first channel that I tune into is Sky News! I generally keep watching this channel throughout breakfast and I only ever start changing all those channels during the evening hours! I do have my favourite channels obviously and Sky News is at the top of the list. I also love Bravo and Challenge as well as Discovery Science. Those news readers on Sky News are like family members now, they are forever in my living room! Andrew

I usually turn it on when I first get up for the day but I don't usually watch anything till around 2 or 3:00 in the afternoon. This is when "Little House On The Prairie" comes on and I put it on the hallmark channel. This is one of my favorite shows. Those kids tickle me the way they get along especially when they get together with Nellie and Willie, lol. I often think bout what it would have been like to live in those days whenever I'm watching it. I'm actually glad we live in this day and age, though. We have so many more improvements now! When Little House is over, I turn it on rfdtv. This is the station about the rural way of life. There is a lot of good stuff for horse owners on this station. They also have programs about gardening, quilting, raising crops, Virginia farming, country music shows, and there is a program about Trains & Locomotives. They call it rural america's most important network. I'm just a country girl, lol. Kathy.

Here in the UK we have a large number of channels to choose from - especially if you have Sky. When I turn on the TV it is normally on Sky Sports News as that is the channel I watch most often. Otherwise it is probably VH1 or VH1 Classic.

Wow! First, I guess it depends on what time I turn on the television. It really does depend on the time of day. But, usually, I check out the HBO stations first. I love The Wire and The Sopranos. Eventhough both of those shows have ended, I still watch them whenever I get a chance.... I could watch those re-runs over and over again. HBO DEFINITELY!
