do you think it is fair for the government to just keep banning everywhere that smokers can and can not smoke....i understand banning in vehichles with children under the age of 19 but with the amount of banning that the government is doing with the smoking, you would think it was illegal do even smoke at all....my opinion is that if the government thinks its sooo bad to smoke than ban buying them all together....make it illegal just like drugs. if not then allow smokers to have areas where they can smoke.....without having to be huddled up outside and trying to stay 15feet away from entrances....i think the government's common sense flew out the door long ago when it comes to smoking.

Personally I think they still have too much of a choice. I'm tired of having to choke with other people's smoke and yes, even in open grounds, because people just seem to love to congregate at buildings doors and whatnot and make almost such a smoke curtain that it doesn't get cleared away by the wind fast enough.

I think that it should be up to the buss. owners. I do not think that the gov. should tell buss. owners if they can or can't have smoking in their building, UNLESS children are involved. Places like bars and restaurants should be up to the owners. I am not a smoker, in fact I strongly dislike smoking; but I do not think that it's right when and if the gov. tries to "take over". I live a little less than an hour from the Historical Deadwood, and even there, there are a couple casino's that have changed to some poker rooms to non-smoking and leaving some as they were, smoking. Granted, I would like to go to some of my favorite bars and not have to deal with the smoke. But I understand that's what I will have to deal with it if I go out. If I don't want to deal with smoke, then I'll go to a Non-smoking bar. It's that simple, either way there will always be someone who isn't happy with the out come.

Hi aneevishq,
NIce to see you here, I am neha, Administrator Of new tech jobs .com
Well I am totally agree with you about your response. the people who do smoke must use the personal places not the public places, they are doing wrong and others are getting infected by them ever the others are totally innocents,
I read this slogal that "Passive smoking is more dangerous than the direct smoking"
It causes Many desease like Asthama...
Please dont use public places for smoking and If you have a heart please leave this now, see your family and think IF you are not more with them what will they do after you? how will they suevive?
Please Leave It... Not for me... Not for you....For your family!!
Please

well, smoking is a choice in itself, but people who smoke should be more cautious about people around them. They should learn to respect those who do not smoke and make sure that they do not offend them, or at least, stay away from those none smoking group when they want to get some nicotine shots. i understand that these smokers are people who also get offended when they are not provided the respect that is due to them, so they should start it in themselves and the people around them so they get respected in return.

I am a smoker. I agree to some point that the smoking issues are getting really out of hand.. To smoke inside a building where there is non smokers is certain something that us smokers need to take into consideration...I believe there should be an area for us to smoke. Like out the way of entrance or given us a room. I think it is our decision if we want to smoke just the same as it is for the non smokers decision. If you have never been a smoker than you really don't understand that we do have a addiction that isn't easily controlled. I have all the respect for the non smokers...Great discussion..Have a wonderful day..

well what you are saying is right but the persons who are chain smokers can't get out of it very easily i.e. they want some time in get out of it.so govt. think about that & take this step.what do you think

The government makes wayyyy too much money from smokers to ever give a full out ban on the product. They have been for years and years. I think its great they no longer allow it in public places. I think people have the right to smoke just as I have the right to not smoke and if I have to sit in a building with smokers I'm losing that right. I dont believe smoking will ever be banned but you can bet the price of smoking will continue to rise over the next 10 or 20 years.

Dear friend,
I hope it would be better to ban these kinds of things in public. If there are people who cannot live without these I hope a special zone may be allotted. Still I hope it would better to ban as it would effect those others who inhale. May be a better healthy atmosphere could be got if banned.

I'm ashamed to admit I'm a smoker. I would like to say I "choose" to smoke, but truth is I'm addicted and wish I never picked up the habit.
I respect the regulations that keep second-hand smoke away from others. To be honest, even as a heavy smoker myself, I don't like smoke-filled rooms! Back in the day when you could opt for a smoking or non-smoking section at a restaurant, I opted for non-smoking. I didn't want to eat around smoke, and preferred taking a break and stepping outside for a few puffs. Strange, I know.
