My favorite artist is Prince! I have a few more right behind him, like second is Michael Jackson! Actually you can flip flop them and it wouldn't really make a difference, they're both the greatest artists and musicians, period! Then after them is when you can bring in RnB, Hip Hop, Reggae, Rock and Alternative music! I just really like music and have an ear for it all!
By the way, I won't be mean about it, I actually like this topic! But next time, give at least 5 or 6 sentences to start your discussions, this one won't count for much with only 4 words!! It's not classified as a discussion!
Thanx

My favorite is Lil' Wayne, yes to admit some of his songs are not so great to hear, but if you listen to the lyrics he talks about real things. Mary J. Blige also and.. I also will always love Michael Jackson "Beat it" I love him!

I enjoy listening to anyone who can perform acoustic.
I imagine many readers believe that ANYONE can do it, but not really. Quite a few folks, it seems have to have some sort of synthetic adjustment, of some level. Without it, it's just karioke.
Amy Lee is very good. I thoroughly enjoy her piano accompaniment. I am amazed also by Linkin Park's acoustic versions of their music via piano.
Dolly Parton, John Lennon, Incubus, Johnny Lang, Vince Guaraldi, and there are lots more with acoustic versions or straight acoustic but I can't think of them right now...

My first brush with this was back in the 80s. Needless to say, several groups I absolutely adored... and had fabulous memories with... Ugh, to acoustic for them.
Maybe it was just me... "What was I thinking?" and maybe they weren't as great as I thought back then, but ... I still have some hellacious memories.

i like david archuleta! the first time i saw him was in american idol season 7. He was just auditioning back then. An ordinary young boy at the age of 16 full of charisma and great talent. From then on, i always watch american idol hoping he'll stay until the finals. He did stay until the finals with david cook. Unfortunately, he did not win.But for me, he's my american idol. I already bought his debut album. Everytime he performs, david never fails to put a smile to everyone specially to me.

My favorite would have to be Rush but I like to listen to a whole bunch of one hit wonders that can't be your favorite band because they are only known for one song.

My favorite singer at this point in time I believe is Rihanna. For a lot of different reasons... she most definitely doesn't have what people would call a powerhouse voice, but her voice is unique and she also has great style and personality that I just love.

I have such a wide range of favorites it would be impossible to name just one or name them all so I'll try to narrow it down to a select few:
As far as singers go, Loreena Mckennitt tops my list. Other favorites include Justin Hayward, Connie Dover, Karen Carpenter, Enya and Moya Brennan.
As for bands, I'm a fan of classic rock/progressive bands such as The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Foreinger and The Beatles.
I'm also a huge fan of ambiant/new age/electronica "projects" such as Enigma, Delerium, Schiller, Sleepthief, Conjure One and Balligomingo.
