While I am doing MyLot this evening, this topic strike my mind again. I myself is a night owl since I have my little son. This is the only free time I have at night ,whereby I can do my own things like surfing net, check up my emails, login to facebook, updating my blog and recently doing MyLot too. The latest I ever stayed is till 2.30am in the morning, the next morning I will feel bit tired, due to not enough sleep. I usually wake up around 7am to prepare breakfast for my husband. In the afternoon, I will catch up a nap to build up my energy again. Let's share with me whether you are also a Night Owl?? What is the latest time you ever stay up?

Hello Shia, For me, I am a night owl too. The only Me time is at mid night, there is when my kids have go to bed. Normally I will use night time to do some house chores whereby my kids are not around disturb me. After everything is done, I will online. The latest I can stay is until 2am. I will force myself to go to bed even I still have many things to do online. How I wish I could have more time for myself.

Hello shia, As we are stay at home mum, I have so much to do in our daily life, which include house chores, cooking, take care the kids and many more. It is better we set a time for us to sleep. Make sure we got enough sleep so we can carry the whole day work with energy! Don't let our hub worry on us. They just not mean to bother what time we sleep. But they just want us to have good rest after busy the whole day. But if you sleep late, just you need to make sure you take a short nap at day time, maybe this could be the time you finish your house chores and the kid is napping, we can just go for a nap too.

Hi Vingyan, My husband is concerned about me too..normally when I slept late at night, I am for sure will have an afternoon nap too when my boy is napping. Or else, I will get a headache for the rest of the day. I fully agreed with you. It is best to set the time limit for ourself to stay late at night. Although they are plenty of things for us to accomplish, taking a rest is still the most important for our health.

Hi Vingyan, Yes...you did told me before that you set the latest time for yourself is till 2AM. I also wish I can have more time for myself. But since I have to takecare my kid, most of my time is spent on him. Somemore, without maid at home, I have to juggle with the housechores too. Lucky I am not staying in a big house, or else, I don't think I have free time to online at night too. I also set a time limit for myself to stay up late till 2.30am.Not more than that. Or else the next morning I will feel very tired and my eyes can't open up. Then my husband will nag me again for staying so late the night before.

shia.. when I was still single and without a child, I am a night owl at all time.. even on work days, I can still go out, have some gathering with friends, and later tomorrow go to work as energetic as possible.. even when I was pregnant, I also got late nights (who say pregnant lady cannot stay up ah) and I was practically training my girl to be another night owl in my tummy! Now, after I got this child.. no more late nights, coz she turn up to be an early sleeper, and she wants me to sleep with her.. I can't sneak out of the room, so sometimes after she sleeps, I just put my laptop in the room, so I can do some of the online stuff too.. At times, I woke up at 5am, coz I sleep too early!

shia.. my girl will want her bath latest by 8pm, or else she will feel very uncomfortable, and make lots of noise.. after which, she maybe enjoying some time in the hall, and then wanted her beauty sleep by 9 or latest 10pm.. but at times when she wanted her sleep at 8am, I will surely end up waking up at 5am! Those days when I work in Singapore too, I can even do 3 shifts straight, without any rest, and only go back after I finishes the last shift.. but now, I can't stay up that late.. you see me now up at 2.30am responding to you, it's a rare occasion.. I think after responding this, I may have to shut down and go to bed..

Hi Cwong, I am just wondering what time you sleep at night? 7pm/8pm?? Since you can wake up so early 5am,I guess you and your daughter must sleep very very early at night. Talk about single life, that's the best time and sometimes I do hope can review back to that moments. When I was in Singapore, I do stay up late during weekend or my off day. As my works required me to work on shift, sometimes I can even worked till 1am. By time reached home and have my shower, I become fresh. So I will even On TV or surf net till I felt tired. That is my young life. Now no more hanging out late. The only late thing I did is surfing net.

Sometimes I'm a night owl, especially, when my inspiration comes to me for my writing, or when I'm restless I do some reading from a good book, or work on my computer. It's the best time to work, because it's quite and I find that it is easier to concentrate on my writing and reading than it is during the day.

Hi Keola, I agreed with you.At night time, we can concentrate more as the environment is quiet. I seldom do reading at night because I can easily feel tired and can't read much at night.Maybe I am not a bookworm.I don't read novel.

Hi Ansh, Talking about shops opened for 24 hours. At my place only few shops that operated 24 hours, that is KFC and 1 coffeshop. I seldom hang out late at night after gets married. When I was young, during my college and dating time, I did hang up late for clubbing, pubbing, or even supper.I really miss that moments. Full of fun and freedom. That is the happiest moments in my life. I was in Singapore for the past 10 years during my college and working time. Singapore has a very good night entertainment and you can easily find any nice food for supper. Back to my husband hometown, life is totally different. No more night life and with one kid at my side now, I have totally step out from night life and concentrate being a good mum and a good wife.

During the holidays me and my friends overreact sometimes. I'm still young and if the parents are gone for a couple of days we organize a party. I think the longest I've been awake is like 60 hours. It isn't very healthy because after 48 hours you can suffer from brain damage i've been told.

Hi Mattivdw, Staying awake for 60 hours, it means for more than 2 days. That's too much and I don't think our body can take it too. During my high school time, I did hang out late at night for a barbeque party. We will engaged the party only after 12 midnight and it will only end till the next morning. For sure, the next day is the sleeping day for me. I can even no need to wake up for food. I need about 1 day rest to build up my energy again. That's during my young life. As ages is catching up, I don't think my body can take it anymore. The lastest I can stay up is till 2++am.

I'm definitely a night owl. In fact I was truly born a night owl. I was born at 2:30am. The bars were closing and I was being born. My kids are night owls too, probably because with most of them I worked third shift while pregnant.

Hi Shia, Since I can remember, I have been a night owl. It works for me though since I became a part time writer and I often find my mind go on a speedy lane at night. I can think more clearly at night, I guess. When I became a mom, like you, part of feeding and taking care of the babies are often spent at night for we have to be watchful of their needs 24/7. My situation is a little different from you though since I have twin daughters. So you could just imagine...I was twice the night owl! (haha!) Right now, I would say that being a night owl still has its bearing since I am working in BPO and shifts are 24/7 as well. I really have no problem adjusting with the schedules since I am already used to being a night owl. One of those things that I should be thankful for...

I used to be stay up at late night to blog and finish the paid review posts till like 3am. Sometimes when it is the time to sleep in the midnight, after a long hour infront of computer, I couldn't sleep. When I forced mysefl to sleep it was like almost in the morning, thus the next day I will be extremely tired. I have not been doing that since sometimes ago, I still prefer not to stay up late at night to blog or do some other things. That is why my blog is so much more quiet nowadays. Slept at 3am is not the latest time record to stay up late. During my college days when its about projects or assignment dateline, I don't even get to sleep for more than 20 hours working.

Hi Lemonjude, Try to find free time during weekend to update your blog. Don't stop it. Blog is like an online diary, we can write everything that happened in our life. I always stay up late at night to update my blog, doind MyLot, do blog hopping. Of course, I am not doing it every night. When I feel my body is tired, then I will catch an early sleep around 11pm. My Little son also sleep late around 11pm,sometimes can even dragged till 12 midnite especially on Saturday Night. So far, I never stayed up till 3am since I have my kid. During my college times, I can even stay til 5am when I was having my final exam. I just can't sleep and need to review the lesson, make sure I remember every single details from my notebooks.

I've always been a night owl, and it is even more so now that both of my children are a bit older and require more of my attention. It seems like in the night once everyone has gone to bed is the only time that I am able to get things done. Like working on the computer and the likes. It also doesn't help matters any that I used to work graveyard shift when I daughter was little. I haven't been able to go to bed early since I worked that shift. In recent history, the latest that I've stayed up was until 4 in the morning. And I felt awful the next day. Typically, I try to get to bed at about 2 in the morning.

Hi Amyson, Stay up till 4am?? another 2 more hours, the sky is getting brighter. It is probably coz you drink too much coffee, that's make you can't sleep at night. I heard alot of people said that coffee will make people stay up late at night. I am not coffee lover, seldom drink coffee too. Although you on afternoon work shift, you still need to have a proper rest for the next day. So better sleep bit earlier to get yourself fresher the next day. Don't drink too much coffee at night. Get a warm milk instead.

I love to work in the nights than in the morning. I feel that it is a perfect time without any disturbance. I always sleep by 1 - 1:30 am. but there have been days when i work round the clock without sleeping. When i was in college my assignments were hectic but interesting, so i stay up the whole night to complete it and i'll finish it only by 6:15 the next morning. Soon after that i'll get ready and leave to college to submit my project. But these days the maximum i stretch is 3:30 am. ;)

If you have to be up at 7.00 then you should be in bed not up until 2.30 am. (I sound like your mother!) If you can nap in the day then that's OK, or else you will be tired out. I like staying up late and surfing on the internet, but it makes me oversleep in the mornings and I kind of like mornings too. I wish I could exist on only a few hours sleep but I need my 7 hours at least. xx

The last few months I didnt have internet at home I got on a regular sleep routines where I was going to bed around 11pm everynight but since I've gotten it back that has been shot. I've got to stop myself from being online late. The last few nights I've been up until 2 or 3am. Which is just horrible for my sleep scadual and hours at school. I'm voweling to next week turn the computer off at 10pm on all school nights. I have to learn to control myself with this. I dont like to nap as much either because that also throws off my sleeping.

Hi BStuff, Actually staying late at night is not really a bad practice. Sometimes we just need to have own free time without any disturbance and the best is to do it at night after kids have slept. When you feel tired, then must faster go get a rest. Don't force youself to stay late again. Our body is not a robot.Need a break too!! Having enough rest will lead us to a good life and stay healthier.

I sort of randomly sleep. So some nights I stay up fairly late, and other days I go to bed early and then wake up very early the next day. I think I get more done on the days when I get up early though.
