http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/tomorrowsworld/8026.shtml?all=2&id=8026 The BBC's Flagship emerging tech Programme ran from the 60's for nearly 40 Years.. This episode from 1994 Introduces Trevor Bayliss, the man who came up with the clockwork powered radio,at the time when he had been turned down by everyone he'd written to with a view to having the Idea mass produced...Happily,that came about nearly a Year Later.. And a Report from California on the "new" electric car industry, mentioning an intended production there of 2% ZEV's by 1998,intended to rise to 10% by 2008..whatever happened to that..? Did You watch the show during its run? Were You a fan? Is there Any particular gadget you can remember that you saw on the show that we still have available in an updated form today? Or is there one that didn't make it..

I can remember watching the show as a kid with my mother and remember quite distinctly the home computer episode where they predicted that people would have one in every home (although I can't remember any others!) and I loved it to bits! You never knew what the next, newest gadget was going to be or whether or not you would be able to understand it but it was great to guess anyway and laugh at some of the ideas they had or the ideas that you had before they actually told you what it was for. I actually missed that show a lot when it was taken off-air so it's great to be able to look back on those episodes again and remember the fun my family had playing 'Guess what gadget it is anyway'

I don't remember exactly how much of this show I saw over the years, but I can remember Raymond Baxter being the presenter! I can't think offhand if there's any particular Item that stood out for Me,(VCR's? CD's? )but I recall seeing this one featuring the then unappreciated Trevor Bayliss...And more recently having bought the "Who killed the Electric Car" DVD,the 1994 report made for interesting viewing! Thanks for responding!
