I don't agree, I think that there are ways to get by without money, however life wouldn't be easy without it.
We do have to pay for everything, if we aren't willing to do the work to live without it. I don't think money is everything at all. I would rather spend quality time with my family and friends than work, and I'd rather live off one income and be able to stay home and raise my kids than work, yeah we would have more money but at what cost?
My children would have to be in daycare with people that we don't personally know, getting care from people who can't do as well as their mother could.
Life would be empty without money for materialistic people, but life would be filled with quality relationships and quality time.

yes but you cant appreciate those things without money. as you mention you still need money for living. even if its small or big its still money that we use. and without it we can't move on with our life and it will look so empty. imaine where we can find food if we dont have money nor job. unless we have our farm to get supply for foods. we work for money and if we stop working then what do you think will happened or lets say you dont have other way of getting money. online earnings is still money and we do it for money thing so its still the same. we still need money. Thanks

you know ,i have to be in favor of your opinion. we have to pay for the bill of food ,electric, clothes just as you mentioned above, and for that ,sometimes we even cant do what we really wanna do,coz we need to work hard ,work hard and finally we find out we have been the slave of money .that's really sad and pathetic, that's not the reason why we are created to this world

yes your right. i feel like people are only here on earth to work to earn for money so we can use it for our day to day life. as if we dont have job some people think its already the end of their life and become so depressed.

Hey,
Yes if you have no money, then your life is basically meaningless. But it is just that money helps you to get on with life, if you have none then you can do almost nothing. You have no place to live, nothing to eat, no clothes to wear. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

while money isn't really everything,a lack of it will certainly make you miserable.lack of it can also trigger several negative emotions.if you see someone who has the best car, clothes, shoes, etc. and you have just enough for yourself, you will feel jealous.if you child is sick and you are penniless, you will be tempted to the thought of getting "easy money".I think in life, everything is meant to be lived in abundance.money without love is nothing, love without money is also difficult.

"a life without money is empty" I agree with you to a point but only because money has made it possible for us to get the things we need in our lives to keep our lives as healthy as possible. Money has been said to be the "root of all evil" but it's only the root of all evil if you use that money as such. i think there are things that we can do with our lives to make money not be our main focus. As a christain I was raised up to tithe to your church (God) atleast 10% of what you have earned or what ever you and God have come to agree upon you giving. When you do this or give the money to how ever you and God discussed about it then you are able to see the benefits of this money in the uses that it is supposed to have instead of the corruptedness of the uses most people think of doing with it. i think it's more valuable now than it ever had been because of the economy in our nation and the economy around the world. But at the same money is also only important and valuable if someone else wants it in return. When I was in business management we talked about the different types of currencies used around the world. In this discussion we also talked about the ways that people use other things besides money to get the things they need. For instance if you have a jacket and shoes and i have an umbrella, I might trade you the umbrella for the jacket and shoes if that is what i need. There is actually no changing of currency as we call that is taking place. Just a trade. So technically I do agree with you as far as you can get more and better things with the more money you have but it doesn't necessarily nock out the fact that you don't have to have money to get the things you need or desire

I was always against those people that say "Money doesn't bring happiness." precisely because of this.
I'd find them right if we were in a society where money was largely optional, but... it's not any longer. We have so many commodities that we just can't go by any more that it's rather difficult to try and break away from money, since you need it for said commodities.
Power, good food, well made clothes, etcetera.
You could say that you could like some cultures like that and try to become independent from today's society. Technology to a minimum, helping each others, practicing the skills that allow one to survive and make the most basic goods, farming, etcetera. Maybe there you can still detach from all the modern society stuff and have a "full" life without money.
By a full life I mean a happy life and the only thing that changes what it takes to make you happy is making it seem that you have more than you need, so, all you have to do is to reduce the range of things you feel you need.
It's not simple for us, but some people out there can still do it and can do it moderately well with little money.
House built with their own sweat and blood, crops they grown the hard way, hand made clothing, etcetera... there are people out there living like so and being generally happy despite the hard work.
However, as I said before, most of us are too used to comfort and can't even -imagine- being condoned to some country field and being deprived from all these goodies, thus, being without money is more depressing than anything else.

Hi, homeshoppers
We do need a lot of money to survive, just enough to buy the basic necessities. Especially if you live in the city, money is really really help. My husband and I do not have a lot of money right now but I dare say that we are both happy. We are not planning to be like this forever though. We are both working hard and saving up, hoping one day we will have a lot of money. While we both do not need to be rich to be happy and appreciate life, it would sure be nice to be able to go on vacation and see different countries or maybe buy a new car to replace the old and a little temperamental one we have right now
Have a nice day!

I agree. I don't think that money is everything, but we sure wouldn't be able to get by without it....at least, not in this country. We have to pay for everything. Our kids can't even get a free education anymore.

hello, well, there are some people who believe that money doesn't really makes you empty. remember during the ancient times, people had survive with out money by having on their own farms and live-stock. money is a necessity to buy other things in life but it's not our life because the moment you think with out money is empty then you're thinking that money is your life, and that's not good

yes that is right. living without money (especially nowadays) is soooo hard. we need that to access ourselves in buying the food we want or we need. our life is empty without money, we cant do anything we want if we dont have that one
