I believe, it doesn't matter where and how you will propose. What matter is how sincere you are on asking the magic question. It also doesn't matter how expensive the ring would be, what matter is how loving you will put it on her fingers. Goodluck

The best idea is to ask ur prospective father in law directly. Tell him frankly that u love his daughter and if not married, the consequences could be bad
