If you are heavily into internet, did you noticed that it consumed your precious time that should be spend in more important things?
Sometimes I am guilty if I am sitting in front of my computer rather than attending to the needs of my children.
So what I am doing now is go online only when I have nothing to do at all. I prioritize my children so I will have no regrets later on.
Internet is good and helpful. But it should not interfere with some important matters in our lives.

Hey there! The internet does interfere with the more important things I have to accomplish sometimes. There are times at work, I get distracted by the internet and can't finish the tasks assigned to me. At home though, the internet is not really distracting for me. The internet is not that high a priority when I'm at home.

Good for you. Home should be a place for bonding among family members.

Yup... I'm "addicted" to it that's why I always turn-off my internet connection so I won't be tempted on playing when I should have been working. Sometimes I cannot control myself even if I'm at the office.

No, i dont. I always know how to manage my time.
Internet just a partial of my life and my real life is more important than online. Therefore, i will always put my real life in the first place and internet only be important when i'm free

As I write this response, there's tons of other things that need attention around the house that I should be doing.
It's great that you have made this decision to straighten out your priorities and manage your time for your kids and time for yourself better.

spent several hours in front of the pc. I, in fact I, use it to do many things. For purposes of study, since I frequent the university often use a laptop , although in general I hate them, because I prefer fixed ones.
First time using the Internet for many things. First of all for research on anything, and then to keep me updated on the news of the university. I also love to play online, especially with RPGs. Lately I discovered myLot, about 2 days ago, and I'm beginning to appreciate it (also I hope to gain iihhi).I like to communicate with my friends with MSN or Facebook.
Finally, I download music, movies and so on ......
Another thing I like so much is that 3D modeling and animation. I'm using Blender as a program is freeware, easy to use, it has nothing to envy to its counterpart shareware,in fact it's my favorite.
Ultimately it is an essential commodity, do not know how I would do without it ......

Hi izathewzia!
I think yes the internet consumes my time. But in a positive way that is. I usually go online not only for my usual social networking activities. I also go online to search for things I can use for my lectures. It does not necessarily interfere with anything important in my life.

Yes internet consumes my precious time but i feel it is wasted only if i am sitting and playing online games. If is use it for earning then it is a different story. During the exam i feel the internet is a waste of time as it distracts me in my studies.Internet is a boon nowadays as we can connect with any part in the world and we can use it for knowledge and entertainment.

I totally agree with you.
i'm an internet heavy users and it makes me feel guilty too, why? coz i don't give much time to my hubby and my son. I should take him to the park and prepare dinner for my hubby when he arrives home, but i failed sometimes. It also affects on my health and my appetite. So i decided to control my internet usage. And prioritize my family, i only do myLoting in the morning and etc. with time limit, so i can do the important things that needs to be doing.
Happy myLoting.

I think, if we use internet as chatting, doing online games and other that cannot benefit us. I think that habit is useless and it consume our precious that will be use in some important things...but if you are using the internet as a means of living. There is no useless things in that...
Have a nice day!

I guess I would have to admit that I am somewhat "addicted" to the internet. I enjoy what I do online though and I'm fortunate that I don't have any small children to attend to or anyone to answer to but myself, so I can spend as much time as I want. I don't spend so much time at it that I neglect everything else in my life that needs doing. I just choose to use my leisure time on the internet rather than doing other things, like watch TV or whatever. I would also have to say that a certain amount of time that I spend producing income isn't really leisure time and could be justified as much as working an extra part time job, so I don't feel guilty about that at all. Then again, that hour I spent playing Spider Solitaire could have been used for something more productive... hehehe...

I admit it, I'm addicted on internet. First thing i'd do in the morning when i wake up is open the computer. Check my emails, open my social sites, uploading photos, searching things, looking for cool stuff, just about anything. With internet, i feel like im connected to the outer world. But although it's very addicting, i'll can still manage my time and use of internet. I have to do the house chore's. I have check on my baby. So i think, im a responsible addict on internet. LOL

Internet is a double edged knife. As long as you know how to use it wisely it will not eat away your precious time. Moreover if one is to busy and sincere with his work he wont be having much time to waste let alone in internet. There is nothing wrong in using internet for a little unwinding.

You are right. Internet has many things, but taking care of our children and famiies should always come first.

hmm i will only go on the internet when i don't have much others to do. if i have other things to do, i will not go onto the internet. if my cats are asking for my attention, i'll definitely give it to them. although i enjoy spending time on the internet, i won't let it interfere with my life. in a way, part of my life is on the internet. i am pretty addicted to a social networking site and i'm on it most of the time. still, i will settle whatever that needs to be done before logging in.

Most of the time im in front of the computer the internet isnt being used. I play sims3 which doesnt require internet. My games take up alot of my free time. My kids are grown and gone so its just me and my Kat family. So i have a lot of free time. Anyway my dishes can stack up if i play too much. The dust too. My sims people just cant live without me. As a matter of fact they just wait in limbo for me to play again.

Yes you need to prioritize, me I'm retired with no KIDS; so I can spend much time of the internet with little impact except on myself.
