Hi Balayadav,
The best way to improve your star rating is by giving a good, informative and helpful posts (responses/comments). People tend to give a + rate for those kind of posts even though they not involve in the discussion.
But the easy way to do it is by responding to your friends discussions and be active there. Even though you give your best to your posts, sometimes people just ignore it. They didn't give it a rate. But if you join your friends discussions, they will definitely give you a + rate for your posts. Sometimes they even give it a + although your posts didn't help them at all.

Congratulation to you, Balayadav. Just keep doing it and your rating might hit the 10 point. It is hard to get 10 especially if your total posts is higher because its need a lot of + rated to move. Just try to avoid politic and religious interest because if someone doesn't like your idea there, they will rate you -.

Hi,akuler,my rating has been increased from 8 to 9.I strongly believe that it was happened due to 2 to 3 members suggestions and out of them your role is maximum.Thanq.

you can see your rating or myLot reputation when you point your mouse/cursor to the star next to your name. right now, your rating is "5"(green star) because you got 46/100 postings.
I don't understand it much too since i'm also new here but someone told me that you can earn more if you have higher ratings.
we can improve our ratings by posting quality and informative responses because readers rate us according to what we posts.^^;;
