In terms of drinking wine, what do you favour, red or white? Why?

I don't normally drink but I guess I may choose to drink a bottle of wine and I always go for the red as opposed to the white. Wasn't there something about red wine being good for the heart if taken in small amounts? I think that it goes well with a meal. I haven't really ever tasted the white, is there a difference apart from the colour? Apart from having it occasionally with a meal I tend to have a few sips prior to meeting new people, strange I know but I get a little nervous about this! Anyway, what are your views on this, red or white? Andrew
