Drinking with or without Straw?

Hello maximilian, I like to use straw when I am drinking in a restaurant or just outside the house. That is when I am drinking juice or sodas. But when drinking water I would drink it directly from the glass or the small water bottles. At home, I also drink directly from the glass. I also like the unique straws that is given in some restaurant, some times, I would keep it.

Yep sometimes i drink with straw and sometimes without straw it depends on the situation, well in restaurants i used to drink in straw when in house without straw, but beware some straw are very dirty they have dirt inside the straw, which maybe is recycled, but straw are good especially the good ones that are in good restaurants.

Hi friend! Whichever way to drink my refreshment, I really don't mind. I can do it through straw or directly from glass. While you are right that sipping through straw will prevent your lips from getting wet, it does not really matter to me if my lips get wet so whichever way to drink that is no big issue to me. I have been used to a cowboy lifestyle anyway! Have a nice day!

HI, I sometimes do and sometimes don't. When in fastfood restaurants where they use disposable cups or glasses I usually use straw because it's the norm LOL and the crew usually put straw with the food tray. Then in some restaurants where they use nice glasses for beverage I don't use straw. But when I drink straight from a can like canned juices or soda of course I use straw.

When I am dining in a restaurant or just eating in a fast food chain, I want to drink using a straw because it is easier and more comfortable to do. I do not have to lift the glass that much to drink. I think it is more enjoyable to eat using a straw and it is safer, in terms of cleanliness of the glass.

if dine out in restaurant i normally use straw but if im at home then no need for straw. but if im outside drinking bottled of water sometimes i use straw too. i dont want to drink juice or water directly from the glass if eating outside. i guess other people do too.

When it comes to being in a restaurant, I will always drink from a straw as it is a lot easier. From time to time though I do not use one especially if drinking from a can or a liter bottle, etc. But drinking from a straw makes less mess and can be a lot easier for sure.

I like drinking without straws. For me, straws only restrict my monstrous way of drinking. I usually do big gulps and would finish 3-4 glasses of iced teas. I only use straws when I drink sodas while driving.

Good morning, maxilimian....I actually do not prefer to use a straw, BUT do so in the summer months, when drinking from anything in a can, that you cannot see into! We have many "wasps" that fly into your drink, unbenounced, so you use a straw to avoid getting stung in the mouth..or throat, which can lead to serious health issues! Dear friend, I would like to drink without straw if it is not too cold. If it too cold and it much smooth liquid I would prefer a straw. But mostly at home I drink without straw. I use straw when I have to drink out side that too mostly I do not prefer it.

I personally enjoy drinking without a straw..But in some places where you can't behave in that manner I drink with a straw!! Drinking with straw doesn't get our lips wet but I find the picture when someday drinks with a straw very funny( no pun intended) so I prefer not to appear like that! Have a nice day!

I prefer to drink using straws. But, if I get some juice from a local shop, they won't provide straws. Some shops give straw if I particularly ask for it. The shop owners are cutting down on the price. It is a nice feeling to continuously get the liquied up to the thorat. I am a messy person, whenever I eat something or the other will fall on my dres. So, straw is good for me to keep my dress neat.

If I am a restaurant (fast food or not) and the drink is in a glass, I'll definitely use a straw unless it's not provided. Besides, I might make a mess accidentally. That would be embarrassing. If it's in a cup then it's fine to drink just like that (no one use a straw in a cup except for my younger brother ) But a bottle is a different story. Sometimes I used a straw and sometimes I just gulped down just like that. It depend on my mood.

If I go in a restaurant, or if I buy takeout from McDonalds. Then I will use a straw Other then that I do not use one. I never use one at home. I see no sense in using one.

Glass if I am extremely thirsty and need a quick quench. Straw if my mouth is full of food and I cannot open it to drink from the glass. Also, depending on the kind of container that the drink is held in. If in a bottle, of course straw lah. But in a cup, will depend on above mentioned.

hi maxilimian.. i never use starw while drinking water or cold drinks. i find it awkward so i take it directly from bottles. thanks

I usually drink using straws if they're served in bottles and if they're served in restaurants, I don't trust the cups in resto's.

I too drink from a straw when I go out to eat at a restaurant. I do not drink from a straw when I am at home I drink directly from the glass.
