We have a friends list. How about a "enemies" list?

I'm not exactly yet a very experienced myLot user and I still haven't quite explored all of its functionalities, but I seem to be missing something from them which would be to ignore other users.
Now, I understand that this is a socializing site and all and therefore people are supposed to talk with each other, but, whenever this happens you are bound to have some attrition sprouting and people will either call each other names or try their way through snide remarks and whatnot. I say this while being fully aware that I'm not exactly an angel.
However, why is there no such thing as an enemies list: An ignore list?
A simple way to avoid discussions, comments and responses from certain people so that there is no chance for that attrition to continue and each time build up more strongly.
Would you be pro or con the implementation of such a tool?
Would you have a practical use for it given your current standing with particular users?

There is no facility for blocking people on MyLot. I think that it might be a usefull feature though, so why don't you suggest it to the admin? Use the "contact" link at the bottom of the page to do that.

Did that just now actually.
It's just that I already had a few conflicts with a pair of people, and frankly I feel that altogether I'd be better not talking with them or even knowing of their existence.
Suppose it may sound a tad drastic, but some people just aren't worth the effort, especially when they can only communicate so poorly.
Thank you for your response.

Other people have also had problems especially with people who make repeated friends requests even when each request is refused. The only option is to ignore the request and leave them in limbo. A block facility will provide the ideal way of dealing with such unwanted requests.

if you want to ignore a discussion or a member then i think we all have to do it manually. i also observe that over the two years here at mylot. i also have seen a few responder on my own discussion who sometimes starting something that can lead to a feud. but i just simply respect their opinions and go to my mylotting. i dont give much focus to them. if they want to discuss a topic in that kind of way then i am not the right person for that. i would rather learn here than fight. there are also members who starts a fight in a discussion talking about another member or venting about another member, i give advice as long as i know what they are talking about. if i dont know i will not dip my fingers on the water. mylot is fun so why spoil it on discussions that will lead to fighting, i am here to learn and to earn not to fight

As you have said, we can ignore them. We are free to close our eyes and pretend not to see the people we want. But if you want to stay here, you should learn how to discipline yourself and respect others opinion.
It sure is irritating if someone called you names or even made code names against you. Adding friends or the friend's list is always your choice. Whom you want to add as a friend and who are the ones you want to ignore.
Sad to say, we don't have the one you're requesting for. If you hate them, ignore them. That's the least you can do. I think we do not need buttons for that and inform the person we are ignoring them, right? It will only create enemies, which is not prevalent here. It's a socializing site, a site that requires us to socialize and not brawl and squabble.
