Confirmations for items or services you did not order?

Do any of you receive order confirmations in your email for items or services that you know you did not order? I join a lot of "free to join" programs and take tons of surveys, click on ads, respond to free offers, etc. but I am fairly sure that I always say "no" or "skip" when I am not interested in the item yet sometimes I get emails confirming an order! Do you know why this could be happening? I thought it might have something to do with my computer automatically filling in the forms so I changed that option but I still get erroneous order confirmations.

I am wondering the same thing? I also want to know why they need your phone number. So they can sell it and have a lot of people calling you. I really hate it on a Saturday morning. I thought the do not call list meant that these people are not allowed to call?

You are probably right about the phone number bstankovich. I hate those weekend calls too and I think that the do not call list is a waste since companies do not have to legally update their records for 6 months so during that time they are permitted to still call you even if you are on the list. That's what I heard anyway. Don't know if it's true. Have you noticed lately that a lot of places are now asking for your cell phone number too! I never give that one out. I get bothered enough on my home phone. Don't need it on the cell too.

I get phone calls and offers for things I know I said no to. There is a coupon site that I use alot and you pick the coupons you want. It always prints ones I don't ask for, sometimes they are checked off already, and one time I checked to see if any were already marked to print, there weren't but I got ones I didn't ask for anyway.

Yes, I have seen where items are already checked off and that annoys me and makes me nervous both at the same time. I am assuming your coupon site is free and you do not pay anything for these extra coupons that are printed off. That's what I worry about most with these sites that call or email about something that you didn't order.....are they going to bill me too!
