If it was discovered that life was sustainable on another planet, would you be willing to travel there and be a pioneer? Why? Why not? Would you be willing to go without any friends or family?

....Hi bird123, thanks for your response. I wouldn't mind going, but I don't think I would want to stay. I am too spoiled with my earthly things, pepperoni pizza, ice cream, water when I turn on the spigot for a bath, and my game shows. :o) Take care.

yes i think i would. it'd be really exciting to explore another planet and be a pioneer. i would not mind if i went there alone as long as i'd have a laptop and internet connection. lol. and of course, food and a nice house.

Yes, I would be more than willing. Life on earth is sometimes stressful that traveling to another planet is an excellent idea. There are some initial reports that Mars is a livable planet. But I don't think we can afford to go there because of the expensive suits and space travel, so that would be a far-reaching dream.lol!

....Hi jlamela, I think eventually we will be traveling in space, as if we were going to another state. I don't know how long it is going to take, or how expensive it will be in the beginning, but I do think we will visit other planets in the future. I don't think I heard any information about Mars. But one of the planets is going to be found able to support life. Thanks for your response. Take care.

...Hi snurag3786, You do sound as if you are adventurous, and ready to explore what is out there in space. I think it would be great to go out there in space and get close to the stars, my, my, now that would be the trip of a lifetime. I would probably want to be on the second set of people going, I would want a report back that all was well before I jump on the ship. :o) Take care.

I'd definitely go but I bet the screening to become a canidate for such a mission would be intense. If I did make it I'd rather go alone than take my family since if the mission is a bust I'd be putting the lives of my entire family at risk. If not family I'd take an animal companion. Maybe a cat. I've never seen a cat in space yet.

...Hi thanks for commenting. I think you are right, no cats, I wonder why not? You are very courageous in my estimation. It is my belief, that there will come a time, in the not too distant future that people will be able to travel to another planet
and live, maybe not as comfortable as on Earth, but good enough to stay and survive.
There may be some who will be chosen to go without any expense to travel, for the express purpose of populating the new terrain. Take care

Hey,
Maybe, but I don't think that we will ever be able to. But if we were, we probably wouldn't make it out alive, like we might have to have kids in the space ship in order for them to make it. It would take a huge amount of time, hundreds of years. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

....Hi Eliteuser, thanks for responding, Great title. The things we don't know about the other planets are the most curious. I do think we will find an inhabitable planet, but really not sure it can be inhabited long term. People would really have to be courageous to go there and build a settlement or whatever. And you are right, it would cost mucho dinero. Take care.
