Don't get too romantic here, in two weeks she will wish the little monster who is in to everything never learned to walk. That's the real life story.

Hi Bhanusb, When I first saw the first-step from my boy, my tears was dropping and I felt so happy that he can walk by himself. Taking care kid is not an easy task, but pretty challenging and full of suprises. Seeing my boy grow up from day to day is the happiest thing in my life.

Oh yes! We got excited over every new milestone our child had hit . . . every "first" is super exciting!! We were thrilled when she started walking by herself, which was at 14 months. Some consider this late . . . and we even started to wonder when it would happen as all the other kids around us were already walking from months ago. But she finally did it on her own . . . and even bypassed some of the boys in her gym class later on. Being able to run off on her own was a different matter - hee hee. Oh, but everything new a child does is so joyful to watch!!

When my girl still do not walk at the age of 12 mths old, I started to worry. I see most my friend's baby already begin their first step even much earlier than that. The strong parental peer pressure makes me feel my girl was legging behind. Thank God that finally she walked at 13 months old. I remembered me and my husband were so excited and happy of the great development from her. I did video recorded how she started her little feet walking with support and then later walking around the house steadily. I agreed with some parents, later you will realize it is easier to care for a while who hasn't started walking all over the place as they start running and climbing up furniture and you will have a lot of "fun" running after them so they don't get into mischief.

Actually, I totally agree with you! My little boy is now eight months old & is totally delightful. He has just learnt to crawl & is getting around into all sorts of places but it would be so boring if he didn't! Kids are meant to get into all sorts of mischief, they don't know any better until we teach them. I wouln't want tobe without my little pickle!
