hi.. You have to focus on the things you like about yourself.. If you think about your inadequacy you will just project that insecurity and people will pick up that you are lacking in that area thus making you fell more inferior. Self confidence is projected and people will respond to that projection. Love who you are and confidence will build :)

Positive thinking. If you think optimistically, you will have a positive approach towards life and feel confident and self assured. Having a positive attitude helps you to achieve positive results in life. This is applicable to all the areas of your life whether it is your job, your relationships or "down time". Every human being is different from the other and each of us has been given some special qualities. All we need to do is work upon our individuality and focus on the positives. An excellent way to achieve this would be to make a list of all of your good qualities. Keep the list with you and read it many times each day. This would give a boost to your morale during your low times. Learning a new skill or refining your talents is a great way to beat the inferiority blues. This would not only help you to learn someting new, but it will also give you a confidence booster and increase your self-esteem. Absolutely no one in this world is perfect. Look at yourself and find ways that you can improve yourself. Eat better, go to the gym, be nicer to people, etc. If you have low self esteem, is it because of the way you look? You can work on good personal hygiene, making sure your hair is styled and the clothes you wear look good on you or suit you, or even complement certain features of your body, ie., maybe you have a nice caboose. You don't have to spend tons of money on clothing to look good. There are plenty of second hand clothing stores where you can get the latest trends for a fraction of the price. Walk with good posture, in an assertive way. Don't slouch. Remember, if you act in a confident way, the world will see that and respect you. Start enjoying your life. Remember, life is short and there is no time to mope around. Be positive and smile, laugh more and enjoy each day. You have every right to be here on this planet, the same as any other person. Don't waste your time hanging around with people who are negative, complain a lot or treat you badly. The are what I call "energy suckers". Instead, surround yourself with people who are happy and fun and enjoy life. Hope these points help you.

There is only solution to this problem and it is to gain enough confidence in thyself, if you are confident of who you are and what you are then you will never feel inferiority complex ever again.

I had a friend who had inferiority complex before, what we did was boost his confidence. We engaged him in musical activities and watched him perform in recitals, pretty much he ended being confident in all of his endevours and now he ended up as a music teacher...

The neo-Freudian psychologist Alfred Adler coined the term he also suggested a solution to such a problem. He says that if you have an inferiority complex then you supersede it by challenging yourself with activities that you feel inferior with. The previous poster's example about his friend engaging in lots of musical activities to solve his complex is an example of this classic approach. So it would do you good to emulate it: find the activity you feel that you're not good at then challenge yourself to come out on top. Of course, it's easily said than done, and their are limits to what one could accomplish, but who says it's unattainable?
